I see myself, but I look a few years younger. And I'm pushing something. A mobile hospital bed. There's a sheet over it, covering what I guess is a body. I wheel it to a door, and then I stop. I open the door and pull the sheet off the body.
It's Newt.
I pick the body up and walk through the door. I look around and see crates and boxes filled with food and other supplies. I put him down and quietly say "enjoy the Glade, I'll see you in a couple years." I walk out of the room and close the door behind me. I hit a button, and I hear the elevator begin to rise.
--
I see a boy with brown hair and a girl with hair as black as tar. And I'm standing with them.
"It really happens tomorrow?"
I nod. "It came so quick."
The girl says "well we'll be right behind you. Well, a couple of months."
"Please, please, please try to convince Chancellor Paige to not send Chuck. There's always a chance he won't make it."
The boy says "when we get in there, I'll look after him. Alright? I promise."
The girl says "stop talking like she's going to die."
I say "well let's hope I don't."
"I don't even understands why they need to send you. Or why these Trials are necessary. We've found it."
The boy says "we want a cure that doesn't turn people into coyotes..."
I say "it's actually not that bad. But Chancellor Paige wants a real cure, not a bite. I was an experiment."
The girl hugs me and says "you're more than an experiment. You're our friend."
The boy adds "our best friend. The three of us, we're a team. Always have been, always will be."
I hug him and says "I'll miss you guys."
The girl says "listen for our voices, if you need help we'll be here. Until they send us."
I smile a little and nod. "Yeah, I know. You guys are like siblings o me. Chuck's the only family I have left, you guys have been like siblings to the both of us. Thank you."
"The pleasure's all ours, Alyssa."
--
I see myself lying on a table. A door opens, and I sit up. A woman with blonde hair enters the room and approaches me. "You've been very good, Coyote."
I nod. "I hope to be of use to you again."
She nods slightly. "Trust me, you will be. You've been a very faithful worker, and you'll make a good Glader. Just, fix the problem."
"What problem, again?"
"Newton. His suicidal intentions have returned. And we know you've always had an interest in Subject A5. Fix the problem."
I nod and say "I'll do my best. I do have one request for you, though."
She nods. "Which is?"
"Chuck. Don't put him in there, please. Do whatever you want to me, just please don't hurt him."
"We'll consider it."
I sigh but nod. "Thank you, Chancellor Paige."
She nods. "Now, what do you need to remember?"
I smile a little and say "WICKED is good."
