**A/N just letting y'all know, as long as everything goes to plan I'll be finishing the book tonight. I needed a distraction again, something very bad happened. My great-grandma passed away yesterday at 103 years old (may she rest in peace). This was better than cutting, so I did a lot of writing. Enjoy the rest of the book!
Later on that day, while I'm working, the alarm for the Box starts going off.
I look up at Newt in confusion. "Is that...?"
He nods, limp-running towards the Box. Once the sound finally stops he jumps down into it. "It's a girl... and I think she's dead."
I push past some people to get to the front of the group, and my heart almost stops when I see it's Teresa.
"What's in her hand?" someone asks.
He bends down and takes a paper out of her pale, clenched fist. "She's the last one ever," he reads.
Suddenly Teresa's eyes fly open, and she starts taking deep, ragged breaths. "Thomas..." she pants. "Alyssa." After she says those two words, her eyes close again and she goes unconscious again.
Everyone looks up, half the group looking at Thomas and the other half looking at me.
"Still think I'm overreacting?" Gally asks.
