I see Chuck opening a door, and Aris standing on the other side of it. Chuck turns inside and says "Lyss it's for you!"
Aris says "actually, I'm here to talk to you."
I walk into the room. "Hey. What's going on?"
"There's something I need to ask your brother."
Chuck looks at him. "Everything okay?"
I say "let's go sit on the couch." I grab Aris's arm and pull him inside, shutting the door behind him. The three of us walk into what is probably a living room, and we sit on a couch.
"What's going on?"
Aris takes a deep breath and looks at Chuck. "You know that your sister and I have been good friends for a while now, right?"
"Of course I do. Why?"
"Well, I wanted to ask if it's alright with you if I ask her to be my girlfriend."
He looks at me. "Did you two talk about this?"
I nod. "I told him that I'd be his girlfriend, but only if it doesn't bother you."
"Why would it bother me? You deserve to be happy, with what they've done to you and all."
I hug him. "Thanks Chuckie."

Ava Paige says "you do understand that we'll be putting you into different circumstances than the other Gladers; you'll be facing things they've never seen before. Correct?"
"What kinds of things?"
"You're going to become a Runner. And you'll be stung by a Griever. We wanna see how far we can push your health. When you get stung, there will be Griever venom in it. We'll send up an antidote with Thomas, we just wanna see how long you'll last. As long as the venom is still in you, then you'll be recovering memories. We're going to let you keep them. Those memories are a privilege in the Glade. And if you happen to remember your partner, you need to forget about any sort of relationship with him until after the Trials."
"When I see him after the Maze I want you to enable my telepathy with him again."
She sighs. "If you understand that you cannot date Mr. Jones."
I nod. "I understand. Newton and only Newton until after the Trials."
She nods. "Good."
--
There's a knock on the door, and I see myself open it. Ava Paige is standing on the other side.
"Ah, Alyssa, just the sibling I was hoping would answer the door. May I come in?"
I nod, opening the door for her. "Chancellor Paige, what an honor."
She steps inside, and I close the door behind her. "Alyssa I'd like for you to come work for me."
"What?"
She nods. "I'd like for you to be a WICKED employee."
"What about Chuck?"
"We're not changing our minds on that. But this way, you could watch over him."
I pause for a moment, then nod. "I'll do it."
--
"And you want the both of them?" A man asks. The man is speaking with another man, and I can see younger versions of Chuck and myself sitting with them.
"Correct," the second man nods. "How much?"
"You want me to sell you both of my children?" So that must be our father.
"You're catching the Flare anyways, we'll take care of them." The man looks over at us.
Our father sighs. "I want one more week with them."
"Excellent. How much would you like us to pay?"
He looks at us. "No money. Just take good care of them."
**A/N hey guys! I'm so sorry I haven't been updating as much as I used to. I've had a lot going on with school and my grades and a crazy bitch trying to ruin my mother's life and I'm now on my school's Academic Decathlon team, which needs a lot of work (I've gotta read an 80 page packet and 61 year old book by this time next week). But I've decided on a posting schedule! I'm gonna post on Tuesdays and Fridays every week. I know today is Saturday, but I just wanted to update today. Next update will be on Tuesday!
