•Y/N: Your Name
Your POV:
I rub my tired eyes before opening them to look up at the white ceiling of my bedroom. There was a quiet ring in my ears that buzzed in my brain. A groan escapes me as I turn onto my side. My vision is incredibly blurred, and it doesn't get any better when I try to stand. I lean against the wall as I walk towards my bedroom door.
I pull it open and head towards the bathroom, which is between my bedroom and the master bedroom. I run the water in the sink, setting it on cold before cupping my hands under the faucet. I splash my face with the frigid liquid before shivering from it's icy contact. It woke me up at least. I use the nearest towel to dry my face off.
I notice that the ringing in my ears had stopped, but the dizziness remained. I check the medicine cabinet to see if we had anything for that. We did, so I took one of the pills. I drank the water from the tap, using my hands to hold the liquid again, to wash it down. After I felt well enough to leave the bathroom, I go back to my room to get some more sleep. I pause, my hand on the doorknob, when I realize something.
'When did I get home? Wasn't I just at school?' I thought and I thought, but couldn't come up with an answer. The space of memory between being at the library and coming home was completely blank, like a fresh sheet of paper. I glare at the door in suspicion before looking around.
That feeling... I'm being watched again. With a gulp, I twist the knob and enter the room. A cream carpet greets my bare feet that had previously stood on the hardwood floor of the hallway. I freeze instantly and stare with wide eyes when I find all my candles lit and the curtains drawn. The night sky looks lovely, for it's filled with millions of twinkling stars and a big, full moon.
Covering my bed and part of the floor are violets, lots and lots of violets. I must have been too disoriented to notice them when I first woke up and made them fall to the floor once I got off the mattress. I found myself paralyzed by the door as confusion and anxiety filled me. I shiver upon feeling a chill run down my spine when I imagine a stranger finding their way into my room and doing this while I slept. Perhaps if that did happen, they were also the ones to bring me home.
I'm not sure which would be worse. I close the door slowly as my heart began to pound violently in my chest. My eyes would dart around the room to check if anyone was hiding in here, but there wasn't really a place to hide other than below the bed and even that was a tight squeeze. My head throbs painfully, so I gently massage the spots where it hurts to relieve it. I must have gotten a headache, a bad one too.
'What a pain.' I get on my knees before lowering the rest of me onto the floor to check under my bed. As expected, nothing's there.
"This is ridiculous," I mutter as I sit up and rub my head again. God, it hurts.
'I doubt this is a dream. The pain is much too strong to be fake.' I laugh bitterly, wishing I was ignorant enough to believe this was nothing but a dream. I don't want to believe that anyone would actually stalk me to this extent. It makes no sense to me if that's what's truly going on either.
Whatever's happening here is incredibly disturbing, and I really hope I'm wrong. I pick up one of the fallen flowers and bring it up to my nose. It has a nice fragrance, and the petals are incredibly soft. I stand up, dropping the flower on the ground. My eyes then wander over to my nightstand.
