Jay was silent as she stared at her sister. She knew she should have seen it coming and she thought that she should have been able to handle it, but she found that in the end, she couldn't. She let out a shaky breath and asked,
"How?"
Crys looked at her then back at the wall before answering,
"They drowned me while simultaneously electrocuting me."
Jay found then that her hand were shaking and an indescribable rage ran through her. She shut her eyes and took in another breath adding,
"I need to see."
"No." Crys said. "I can't let you."
"Please Crys." Jay said.
"No!" Crys jumped off of the bed and looked back at Jay saying, "I can't let you see and won't let you. So stop asking."
Jay frowned and shut her eyes, letting her mind wander to Crys's. Her sister reacted within moments but by then Jay was already reliving her sister's past. She couldn't see much due to the hazy darkness but when her vision cleared, the first thing she saw was Erik.
"I will no longer be present at your interrogations." he said.
"And why would I care?" Crys said with a groan as she pulled a little on the chains that held her.
Erik paused and looked down at her, looking a little hurt before replying,
"You wouldn't but she would."
"She?" Jay thought.
"Well it's a good thing I'm me right now isn't it?" Crys answered quickly and angrily.
Erik watched her closely as she tried to pull at her bonds. She stop struggling then looked up at him with a frown.
"What? Why are you still here? She's not gonna come out any time soon." Crys said.
"You would be smart to ask me to stay." Erik replied.
Crys only frowned and looked away, staring at the cold floor beneath her. Erik watched her carefully before turning away and saying,
"You chose your fate."
The next thing Jay saw was a flash of white, and a burning pain tore through her. It all flashed before her, quickly making her dizzy. Images of blood, a face, fire, and then darkness. A cold and numbing darkness the likes of which Jay had never experienced. For those moments, she felt nothing, she heard nothing. A terrible fear overcame her and a sudden shock erupted before her eyes in a flash of white and she found that she was in fact staring at a bright light.
"Welcome back." a voice sounded.
It was an oddly smooth voice, calm and controlled. Crys opened her eyes, her body throbbing in pain. Her head turned to the side and she saw Doom, his face uncovered, the rest of his body clad in armor and an emerald green cape. His handsome face came close to hers and he whispered,
"You are mine to toy with........Crystal."
"That's all you got?" Crys taunted, in a fading whisper.
Doom smirked and came even closer, to a point where she flt his lips brush against her cheek.
"No. You think death is the worst thing that I can give you?" he chuckled lightly and added, "You're wrong."
His words echoed in her head and a shiver shook her, painfully racking her bones to the point where she let out a groan of pain. Doom grinned again then said,
"I'm going to show you what real pain is."
Flashes of memories flew before her eyes once more and at a few points she recognized some of the blurred faces as Bucky and Doom. Why Bucky had appeared was unknown to her, but at the moment she could have cared less. The fear and anger that shook her frame was more than enough of a distraction.
Suddenly she felt herself being thrown back forcibly and when she came to her senses, it was already too late, she saw everything in the room as red and then black. Crys was too afraid to have done much of any resisting at this point, they were both of them too late. Crow and Dove had resurfaced.
Dove lifted herself from the ground and faced her opponent.
"Hello again." Crow said with a grin.
"Well well well, if it isn't my least favorite creature in the universe." Dove said with mock affection.
"At your service, Oh Greatly Low One." Crow added with a bow.
"Don't play games with me." Dove said.
"Games?" Crow said with a grin, "Ooo I like games. Shall we play one?" the blades over their hands formed. "How about this one? How about a game of tag?" she paused then added, "To the death."
Bucky and Steve were making their way down the hall to speak with the sisters when a projectile flew at them from through the wall. They were thrown to the side and the moment Bucky saw who it was he grabbed her.
"Steve!" he shouted.
"On it!" Steve replied quickly.
Steve threw himself forward at Crow and knocked her to the ground. Bucky in the mean time was trying his hardest to hold down Dove as she struggled to get away from him.
"Let me go!" Dove shouted angrily.
"No!" Bucky said, getting her arms locked behind her, "You're staying right here, with me."
"Jerk!" Dove said.
Bucky merely laughed as he remained to struggle with her but Steve on the other hand, was not having such a good time with Crow. He held her down but she managed to shove him off of her before he could get a secure hold. She hurried to the hole in the wall and ran down the hall only to run hard into a metal wall. She landed on her back, the wind being knocked out of her. Steve stopped in his rush to her as he stared at none other than Erik himself.
"Erik!?" Crow moaned as she held her bloody nose.
"Erik!" Logan shouted, Charles standing next to him.
"Would anyone else like to say my name, or shall i get on with this?" Erik said. Before waiting for an answer, Erik made the metal wrap around Crow and then fasten her securely to the ground.
"What are you doing here?" Logan said.
"A thank you would be appreciated." Erik said. He looked down at Crow and then said in a more affectionate tone, "Hello Crow."
"Hey!" Steve shouted.
"Well," Erik grinned, "If it isn't the Star Spangled Man in Tights."
Steve frowned and then clenched his fists but Crow speaking distracted him.
"What are you doing here Erik?"
Erik looked down at her with a sad smile and said,
"I've come to help you, love."
