Chapter 50

"What the hell are you doing here?!" Crow shouted to Eric, who was standing above her.

"I have the same question." Steve said. "With less colorful language of course." he added.

 Crow looked up at him with a confused gaze and then turned back to Erik.

"I've come because of you." Erik said, watching her carefully. "Or rather because of what was done to you."

"Why would you care?" Logan asked.

"Because mutants are being slaughtered to promote Victor's initiative." Erik replied.

"Again, why would you care?" Logan repeated.

 Erik turned around and looked hard at Logan and then Charles but without a word, he returned to looking at Steve and he said,

"I am willing to give you all of the information I have about Victor Von Doom."

"Why?" Steve asked.

"I don't need to explain myself to you." Erik said. "Do you accept my information or not?"

"We do," Steve said, crossing his arms, "I'm merely questioning your motives. You should have expected this, it's kind of obvious that we would be suspicious after you waltz in here with free information about our enemy. "

"Just a tad." Crow added, trying to make a movement with her fingers to illustrate this.

 The two looked down at her and frowned before they heard Bucky shout,

"Heads up!!"

 Everyone turned just in time to see Dove streak by and send Erik flying backwards into the wall, and grabbing Crow off of the floor. Crow kicked her away and, using her telepathy, ripped off the metal that bound her. Dove was undeterred by this and launched herself forward once more, taking a firm hold of Crow around the throat. Crow responded with another kick to Dove's abdomen and then a quick uppercut to her jaw, sending her back a few feet.

"I should kill all of you." Crow said, straightening her shirt, "But lucky for you, I have someone else to take care of first."

 Her wings appeared on her back and just as she was ready to dart up into the air, Steve made a large leap and knocked her back to the ground, making her land hard on her back. Steve held her down as best he could until Dove ripped him off of her and she swung a punch at her that threw her back through the wall.

"They're going to destroy the school." Charles said, running after the two through the hole in the wall.

"The school?!" Logan replied, hurrying after them.

 They all ran out, prepared for the small battle that was about to occur on the school grounds once more. Charles had tried to get a hold on Crow or Dove's mind, but both of them shut him out quickly.

"I can't get them." Charles said as they watched the two skirmish from the gaping whole in the side of the school.

"What do we do?" Logan asked.

"What the hell is going on?!" They heard Matthew almost scream from the balcony.

"What's it look like?" Bucky replied coldly.

 The Soldier ran down into the space where the fight was taking place and came as close as he could to Dove.

"You may want to leave Sergeant Barnes." Dove said as she backed up a bit from Crow.

"Not gonna happen." he said.

 Dove looked back at him and said,

"Don't be a fool, there's nothing you can do to help me."
