Chapter 11

"That was uncalled for!" Deadpool shouted as he brushed the snow off his suit. "I didn't even do anything yet! How do u know i would've done anything !?"

"Let's call it intuition." Bucky said as he strode fearlessly toward Deadpool.

Suddenly something fell from the sky, streaking through the air with a flash of white. The snow flew back at them and Jay jumped back to avoid it, her fingers tingling.

"What was that?!" Bucy said, a handgun from on his thigh now in his hands.

Jay smiled when they stepped closer.

"That's my cousin." Jay said as she and Bucky stared down into the crater in which Crystal could be seen throdling Deadpool.

"You creepy son of a..." she was stopped by an elbow in her face and she fell back.

"Now now. We musnt use language," Deadpool said.

Crystal frowned then launched herself forward and up, bringing Deadpool up into the air with her.

"I'm FLYING !!!!" Deadpool exclaimed.

"No." Crystal said, "You're falling."

With that she let him go over the edge of the mountain.

"Good riddance." she said.

She looked down to see Jay and immediately made her way down. Within moments Crystal was hugging Jay tight saying,

"I've been worried sick." she pulle away and said, "You cow! Don't run off like that again! Geez!"

"Crys. How did you find me?" Jay said.

"Charles caught a glimpse of you through Cerebro." she looked at Bucky then back at Jay asking, "So what have ya'll been doin up here? Alone. "

Jay felt her cheeks burn and Bucky crossed his arms, seemingly suddenly impressed and captivated by something in the sky.

"Nothing much." Jay said.

"Uh~hu." Crystal eyed Jay suspiciously then her deep brown eyes widened. "What the hell happened to your neck?!?!"

"Oh!" Jay scrambled to cover it with the collar when she saw Crystal's death glare at Bucky.

"If you touched her I swear I'll drop you down this mountain like a sack of potatoes pal!!" Crystal said.

Bucky opened his lips to speak when Jay cut him off saying,

"It was my fault. I was being a clutz."

"I knew that." Crystal commented.

"Well i was trying to get something out of the fridge when I realized it was in the freezer. So i went to open the top door and i basically pulled a limbo trick with the door. But when i tried to slip out i got stuck and my foot slipped. My neck was caught between the doors, so..."

At first, Crystal had an expression that just screamed "NOT BUYING IT YOU LYING COW!" but then she shook her head and laughed saying,

" You are more clumsy than i thought."

"Crystal!" she heard Charles shout.

"Whoa. I thought...." Jay began.

"Ill explain later." Crystal said.

Steve then came into view behind Charles ans the moment he saw Bucky he stopped. Bucky was frozen in place and for the longest time nobody moved.

Steve made his way up to them and stopped, looking at Bucky.

"I was going to find you..." Bucky said. " I had some governments and families to gain recompense from. " Bucky stopped then added, " I tried. to do right. I know you were there in New York and L.A. I saw you. I just couldn't find the guts to apologize to you."

Suddenly Steve was hugging his old friend saying,

" You saved my life many times. The least i can do is forgive you because that's all i have to offer."

He stepped back and Bucky said,

" That's all i wanted."

Suddenly, Crystal gasped and looked up simultaneously with Charles and Jay as they saw a streak of black and red throw Crystal to the side and about 4 yards off.

"Crys!" Jay said.

Crystal looked up and saw two Samurai blades in front of her.

"Healing factor." Deadpool exclaimed in a singsong tone. " And...... I'm DEADPOOL."

However, his sudden entrance was cut short by a sudden exit performed by the shield and massive body of Steve Rogers. Deadpool was thrown back into the cabin, and through the wall. Steve turned to Crystal and gave her his hand saying,

"You alright?"

"I think so." Crystal replied, as he pulled her up.

She quickly grabbed her side and moaned, pulling her hand away and seeing blood.

"He stabbed me?!" Crystal said, more pissed than frightened.

Deadpool grunted as he shook his head and stood up out of the pile of rubble.

"You!" Crystal exclaimed.

Deadpool shot around just in time to be rammed from the side by Crystal. Once more, she took hold of him and shot into the air, a wave of wind knocking the others off balance.

"Where on earth did she learn to fly that fast?!" Jay exclaimed.

"She wants us to go." Charles cut in, his hand next to his temple. "She's going to meet us at the foot of the mountain." he looked at Bucky and squinted, "You."

Bucky almost jumped saying,

"What?!"

"You have a vehicle in the garage. Get it. We need to get out of here."

Meanwhile, Crystal was having issues keeping a hold on Deadpool.

"You can't kill me!" Deadpool shouted at her before throwing a punch at her again.

She spat out the blood and grabbed him by the throat. A strange wave of cold flowed oveer her and her grip tightened as she began to faze out. White spilled into the brown of her eyes and she grinned.

"You pathetic excuse for a mutant." she said hovering in the air, her eings taking long and repeated beats in the thin and cold air. "Lets see how long it takes you to heal from suffication." her grip became tighter as Deadpool struggled to remove himself. However,  she let a wave of energy launch at him and just as he lost his heart beat, there was a loud crack.

She let go and saw his body fall through the clouds.

"Now." she said, " To find the Other."

"I don't see her." Steve remarked as he looked up into the sky from the window. Suddenly a figure shot in front of them into the snow.

"Crys!?" Jay said as she struggled to open her door.

Soon she and Steve were running to her as she stood, her back to them. The white in her eyes faded and she fell forward, holding her side.

"What happened?" Jay said looking over Crystal's bruised face and bloody lip.

"Don't worry." Crystal said as Steve suddenly picked her up. As she was carried to the car and before she passed out, she realized that she knew what happened because she saw it. What she didn't understand was that she didn't and wouldn't do that.
