My feet repeatedly hit the ground the shrubs swiping at my face, but considering my size, I navigated my way through the jungle with ease.
Then I was before the thing Mert said they called an 'ocean'.
The liquid lapped up the grainy soil, nearing my bare, small, feet.
It grazes my toes and pain ripples threw me, causing me to crumble to my knees, only met by more of the swishy swashy stuff.
More yells emitting from the brush behind me.
I feel something pierce my right shoulder, sending more pain threw out my being. This may be in fact my end, in this odd unfair world...
I could barely move, this odd liquid restraining me, my vision dotting a familiar black.
I heave for breath, but not much is given, my vision was more dark than light.
I feel like I'm floating, swallowed by the liquid, I lost all thought and let the beautiful color absorb me.
That was seven years ago...
Now, present day, I stand in front of the three boys.
Three odd boys.
Perhaps, just maybe, they were normal boys, who did normal things, but then again the only boys I've met have threatened to kill me...
Two having a dark black mess of hair, the other a light, short and blond.
Two smiled, one scowled.
Two wore hats, the other bare headed.
I stood my ground, not backing down from the eldest glare, nor giving in to the youngest grin.
Finally, one speaks, the hatless one, "Who are you?" this question far from polite or kind.
And I stay silent, this thing is something I do best, as for silence, it's kept me alive for all these years.
