After staying like this for several minutes, I take a step back, my mind shifting gears to a more sensible, non-emotional mind setting.

My expression flattening to nothing.

"I really do have my crew the attend too..." I say looking down, running my fingers down a strand of hair repetitively.
I feel his eyes on me, making me shift from foot to foot, finally gathering the courage to look up at him. "I really do..." I say, for some odd reason nervous.

"Go on then, Nyx.." He said sound slightly disappointed, and I hesitate, before following his directions and running off towards the main part of the deck where my crew usually hangs about.
After I round the corner, disappearing from his sight, I slowed down to a steady, thoughtful walk. Why? It's so odd... I get nervous and shy in his embrace, but when I'm away from it, I want nothing more than to be in it again. It's so odd... I hate it.

I was looking down and walking and thinking the entire time I was making my way to the main deck, I accidently walk directly into Kiti.
"Oh! Sorry!" I cry, stumbling about trying to steady both of us, I end up falling, bringing Kiti down with me.
She lands on top of me, our chests pressed together, her eyes wide as she looks down at me blank faced.
She was a bit pink cheeked...
"Kiti? Are you ok? You're a bit flushed..." I say considered.
At this her hue deepens.
"WHATTHEHELLAREYOUTALKINGABOUT?!" She yells in a rush of words, eyes squeezed shut as her face was red, "I'M FINE! IT'S JUST HOT!!"
I giggle, "Ok, ok Kiti... don't get so flustered!" I say sitting up, the neko falling into my lap as a kitten.
I hold her, stroking her ears as our newest crew member returns from the kitchen.

"Hello, Captain... I was just looking for you."
I nod at him and say, "Would you please demonstrate your aim?"
He looked at me for a moment, then formed his expression, and nodded, "One moment, Captain!"
He then disappeared for a moment, returning a few minutes later with a series of bottles, cans, paper, for some odd reason... and a few large buttons.

After a few moments of fussing with these objects, he had set them up in a line, about a foot from one another, from largest to smallest.
I heard the simple click of a loaded gun, as he stood next to me, holding his gun with both hands eyes narrowing in on his target.

He'd drawn a small circle on the large glass jar with a red marker, and after the gunshot, there was a hole where that circle had been.

The jar remained unshattered.

He moved on, shooting these objects with precise aim. Never failing to miss, nor break the object once he'd shot it.
Finally he arrived to the last three objects.
Three differently sized buttons. The biggest had a red dot in it's center. The medium button had the same marking. And the smallest had the same red dot. The rim of the button surrounded it. It will be impossible not to break the button to pieces.
The first two bullets succeeded. The smallest button remained.
Kiti sat in my lap, still as a cat, ear bent as she watched intently, leaning forward, eyes wide.
Fire sounded... and the rim of the button spun on the railing of the ship.
A hole blasted through it.
I keep my face straight as I stand, Tero looking at me nervously.
"Hato... Welcome to my crew." I say, his face flooding with relief, taking the hand I offered him.

I shook it, then turned, and went to my room, closing and locking the door behind me.
