Chapter Five

Max arrived and we sat on my couch "So you're saying that Ronnie and Kacie are seeing each other behind your back? But what's it got to do with you? It's probably nothing serious anyway" I agreed but I was still worried I knew Ronnie well and I know Max did too. Kacie was a gorgeous young woman and I could understand why Ronnie might be making a move. "I go to the Diner on Saturday's anyway! You should know that, we should go down and surprise her" I bit my lip "Remember the first time we went there, to ask for a job for you and he gave you one straight away" I smiled at the memory the week after I'd gotten out of hospital. "Come on then what are we waiting for let's catch them out" I stood up and turned the TV off before grabbing my jacket and locking the apartment door. 

We took Max's car to the Diner and parked up in my usual space just outside "Do we actually want to go in or are we just going to watch from here?" I looked around outside when I caught site of Ronnie. I pushed Max's head down so that we both couldn't be seen "What!" Max shouted

"Ronnie is going inside" he peered out of the window seeing him shut the door of the Diner 

"Come on let's bust them" I pulled Max back 

"Look you go in and I'll follow pretending I've come to meet you here" he liked my plan and got out of the car moving his long Black hair from his face. I watched him walk away. I did still love Max, he was a lovely guy but he just had a love for girls and I couldn't stick around to be cheated on over and over...

Max's POV

I walked into the Diner and greeted Carl the manager, I took a seat in my usual place on the bar stools. I traced my eyes across the place looking for any sign of Radke, I saw him sat in a booth down the other end. Me and Radke still aren't friends but we don't hate each other or start fights if we're in the same place. I caught site of Kacie her heels clicking against the tiled floor, she went over to Ronnie and slid herself into the booth. I watched them intently when Ash came and stood in front of me making me jump "What's up with you?" I knew Ash knew a lot about Deven we all used to hang out in bars together "Well look that's Ronnie Radke, Dev's ex and he's seeing Kacie" Ash turned his head and chuckled "Oh drama" he stated grabbing a glass and filling it with Coca-cola for me I thanked him and took a sip turning the stool so that I could see Kacie as she approached me "Oh. M-max what are you doing here?" I smiled at her

"Hey Kacie, I always come in on Saturday's I'm meeting Deven, actually" Kacie looked stunned and looked back to Radke before teetering off to the back room. The bell on the door sounded and I looked over seeing Deven enter. Her long Blonde hair came down on one side of her neck and ended at her waist I smiled at her "Max hey" I hugged her and passed her my coca-cola "Hi Ash" she gave him a wave and then she saw Kacie go behind the bar to grab a drink for Ronnie. 

Deven's POV

I sat on the bar stool next to Max as Kacie came out of the back room well at least she was actually truthful about comeing to work and not for a social event. "Surprise" I said to her as she stood on the step looking at me "Erm, look who stopped by" she said pointing across the room at Radke. I rolled my eyes pretending I didn't actually know and smiled at her before taking another sip of my drink. I turned around and watched her as she walked over to Ronnie sliding into the booth with him. I rolled my eyes and turned to face Max and Ash who were talking. Ash groaned and grabbed a notepad "She is seriously close to losing her job" Ash announced as he went over and took some people's orders. Kacie was so consumed with Ronnie that she had momentarily forgotten she was meant to be working. I stood up and bravely went over to her table "Kacie?" I questioned her she looked up from Ronnie's gaze that he had her held with "You're kind of preventing Ash from doing his job?" I turned away and left it at that. I took my seat next to Max and smiled at Ash who thanked me for saving his and her ass.
