Chapter Forty Six

Here I was in mine and Vic's bedroom in my wedding dress, I was overcome with emotion as my Mother handed me the Lilac flowers she had picked out "I can't believe you're getting married" I smiled at her "Neither can I" she gave me a hug 

"We will see you at the church" Kacie entered the room with Marie and placed a hand over her mouth "Oh Deven!" I could see tears welling up in her eyes "I'm sorry, I just, you look amazing!" Kacie was my made of honur and for some reason I had allowed Jacky's girlfriend as well as Jenn (Ryan's girlfriend) to be my bridesmaids. My father appeared he would be walking me down the aisle he also looked teary eyed "The car's here it's time to go" I smiled and linked arms with Kacie as we walked down the stairs meeting Jenn and Charlotte outside. We piled into the car and a sudden bound of nerves hit me. I wanted this day to be perfect and I didn't want anything to ruin it. As I stood at the top of the aisle I saw Vic, he was staring at me in awe in his suit, he had decided against a tie and gone with a dickie bow in which I prefered him in anyway. His hair was pin straight and wasn't culy like it usually was most of the time nowadays. My Father linked arms with me and we walked down the aisle, Kacie, Jenn and Charlotte following. My Mother was sat at the front of the room with Marie and she was crying I tried not to look at her as she would set me off. 

The wedding went better than I could have ever imagined and I was now in the car with Vic as we headed to the reception I was kind of amazed that we had even managed to get to this point, the last 2 months before the wedding had been stressful and I think it was finally going to settle down again. Arriving at the reception I was shocked to see Jenna stood outside, Kacie stood opposite her obviously telling her to leave. I stepped out of the car and walked up to them "What's going on?" There was no answer "Jenna what are you doing here?" Kacie stepped away from us and into the building, Vic approached from the car "Jenna?" 

"Vic we need to talk?" was all she said and I wanted to strangle her Vic looked to me and I rolled my eyes before walking into the building myself without my husband.

Vic's POV

I stood in front of Jenna with my arms folded across my chest "I thought I made it clear Jenna" was all I said to her. I didn't want her here. "Vic, I-I love you and I just I can't go home until you tell me the truth" I closed my eyes

"The truth about what?"

"About your feelings for me, was there anything there? I asked you at the party months ago and you only answered when Deven stormed out" I swallowed

"Jenna I don't love you, I was hurt and I only slept with you because I was mad at Deven, it doesn't mean I love you" she sighed and looked down at the floor "I just married Deven, she's the only person I want and I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear, but you need to leave now because you are ruining our day" I walked away from her not wanting to hear or see her right now. "Vic!" I turned to look at her one last time before walking into the venue to find Deven. She was stood with Kacie, her mum and Mike. so I walked over wrapping my arms around my waist "What's going on?" she whispered as I placed a kiss on her cheek "It's ok I told her to go, I thought she was back in Australia" she turned away from me, tensing a little "Dev, what is it?" I asked her she turned around to face me "She's been here for months, I, I never told you but she called me not long ago" I stared down at her "She was crying like really bad and she said she needed to talk so I went over to her place in San Diego" I knotted my eyebrows together

"She's got a place here?" I nodded

"She appologised to me and then she showed me-" She stopped mid sentance "Come on let's just talk about this later!" she took my hand and we walked over to the dancefloor where the majority of our friends and family were. "Deven what are you talking about, what did she show you?" she turned to face me and pulled me towards her" Just dance with me Vic" I sighed and smiled pushing the situation to the back of my mind and pulling her closer to me and placing my hands on her hips. We danced for a while until Mike came over to us "Hey, how does it feel to finally be a Fuentes?" he asked Deven and she smiled "It's great" she snuggled into my side and I kissed the side of her head before a tipsy Jaime came over grabbing Mike and dragging him over to the bar, I shook my head at them and we went to find my parents.

I'd spent most of the night at the bar with my band mates minus Jaime, no one knew where on earth he had gotten to. I wasn't even sure where Deven was either. My guess was that she was with Kacie somewhere. "How does it feel being married then?" Tony asked me 

"I didn't think we would even get here to be honest so I'm relieved" Tony patted my shoulder 

"Congratulations man" Mike grabbed us all a drink "Where the hell is Jaime anyway?" I shrugged

"He was here then he disapeared" We both looked to Mike.

"I think he went outside, he's so drunk, I don't think I've even ever seen him so bad" Mike was laughing 

"Well I'm glad he is taking advantage of the free bar" I joked "Maybe we should go find him though? Make sure he's ok?" Mike nodded and we headed outside to go find him. 

Deven's POV

"Damn it's so hot in there" I stated as me, Kacie and Marie stepped outside to get some fresh air 

"So are you all packed for your honeymoon?" I nodded "Where are you going again?" 

"Paris!" Kacie smiled

"Woah, romantic" I laughed at her "I need to go change Marie, will you be alright out here for a few minutes?" I smiled

"Of course" she dashed off back into the venue and I lent against the wall enjoying the cool air on my arms. I looked over in front of me and saw Jaime lying on the floor, beer in hand, Jenna was sat next to him smiling down at him I peeled my back off of the wall and called over to Jaime wondering why he was hanging around here with her, why was she even still here it had been a good three hours since Vic had told her to go. Jaime sat up and looked over at me. He stood up and started to stumble over to me, Jenna was laughing at him, he could hardly walk. "Jaime, how much have you drank?" I asked as he stood in front of me, he shrugged

"I don't know and I don't care, it's free right?" he asked I nodded "So you are now a Fuentes" I smiled at him  "Erm yeah I am" I replied

"You know you'd probably have so much more fun if you were a Preciado" he slurred and I raised an eyebrow "Is that so Hime?" he nodded and placed his hands on the wall behind us to steady himself, his face was dangerously close to mine and I could smell the alcohol on his breath. "If only you had noticed me, things might have turned out differently" 

"Jaime what are you talking about?" I asked raising my voice slightly, being around drunk people made me nauseaous, they reminded me of my past self. "I love you Deven Marie Taylor, have you not noticed" I shook my head at him 

"Jaime you are drunk, stop talking just, go back inside, I'll call you a taxi or something" I grabbed my purse from my side and grabbed my phone from it scrowling through my contacts until I came to a number for a taxi company "No, no, no Dev no I'm not going home" he took my phone from my hand. I placed my hands on his chest and tried to push him back a little but he wouldn't budge. "Jaime, please?" 

"Just hear me out" I sucked on my bottom lip and looked up at him 

"Fine" I lent back on the wall giving up and Jaime started to slur his words, I could't understand a word he was saying, he stopped talking "Is that it?" he shook his head and smiled

"No, remember at your early Birthday party that Vic ruined, we played that shot game and I drank when Jenna asked if anyone had a crush on anyone in the room" I nodded remembering grilling him about it "It was you" I parted my lips to say something when Vic and Mike appeared through the door "Oh my god, thank god, Vic can you get him out of my sight please?" Vic knotted his eyebrows together as he pulled Jaime away from me "Dude what are you playing at, you are wasted" I charged back inside to go find where Kacie had gotten to. But ended up bumping into Jacky "Congratulations Dev" I smiled at Jacky 

"Thank you, when are you and Charlotte tying the knot anyway?" I asked nudging him slightly, it didn't feel awkward or strange anymore when I mentioned Charlotte "I'm not sure yet we were thinking in the summer, next year maybe?" I smiled "Look I'm glad you found someone" I bit my lip

"Yeah, you too, you and Charlotte make a lovely couple" Jacky smiled at me and I gave him a hug. Before rushing over to the bathrooms to find Kacie and Marie.
