Chapter Fifteen

Deven's POV

We got to seaworld at about 10am and I was really excited I'd never been to any themeparks or attractions in the USA since being here but today I was about to change that. Ronnie paid for our tickets which I thought was sweet seeing as he had already paid for the hotel. We decided the first thing we should do is get some food seeing as we hadn't eaten yet today. So we headed over to the cafe to get some food, unfortunatley the cafe didn't do breakfast so we ended up just having early lunch Ceaser salad. I finished my coffee and waited for Ronnie to finish up before we headed out to look for sea turtles mainly as they were my favourite sea creature apart from Dolphins but I don't think there were any here. I think Ronnie was finding it extremely boring so we left pretty much after the sea lion show which was pretty fun to watch. "It's only 3pm Ronnie" I said as I got into the passenger seat of Ronnie's car  "So, we could go to the beach if you like" I smiled

"Yeah that's a pretty good idea" 

Once we got back to the hotel I searched through my suitcase only to find I'd left my only bikini back in Vegas "Ugh" Ronnie was taking a shower before we headed out so I quickly wrote him a note saying I had taken his car out to go find a swimsuit. Ronnie would probably kill me for taking his beloved 4x4 but It was an emergency! I pulled out of the carpark and followed the directions on the satnav to the nearest mall. Once I was there I went inside and looked everywhere for a store which sold swimwear etc, I found a place and looked through for a bikini, I found a cute tankini instead which was just a pale Blue colour which would do for now seeing as we were only going to the beach. I paid for it and exited the shop, my phone was buzzing as I walked through the mall I grabbed it out of my pocket but as I did I acidently bumped into someone "Oh sorry" I said as I carried on walking not even bothering to look up from my phone "Deven, what are you doing out here" I looked behind me seeing Vic 

"Vic?" I shook my head and walked back over to him "You're back from Europe?" I asked confused and surprised by the fact he was here "I er never went to Europe" I was super confused "Why are you in San Diago?" 

"Do you want to go over to that coffee shop?" I asked him, he nodded and we walked over there

"So why are you in San Diago" Vic asked me as he stired his coffee. I began to explain how we had come here because Ronnie wanted to get away from Vegas for a bit and "well I wanted to see you so we decided to come out here" 

"How long have you been here?" Vic asked me as I took a sip of my coffee

"Since last night, it's weird though because Ronnie said you guys were in Europe" Vic crossed his eyebrows "Well I'm right here aren't I" I nodded as my phone began to ring again , I picked it up seeing it was Kacie's number "Deven, seriously are you sure you haven't seen Ronnie cause he isn't in Vegas apparently, even his band don't know where he is" I looked up at Vic

"Er no I have no idea I'm er just with Vic right now!" she humphed, I hated lying to her but I needed to think things through right now "Is everything okay back home?"

"No I need to speak to Ronnie but.. Look I was going to let Ronnie be the first to know this but I guess I'll tell you first instead seeing as you seem to be the only one that cares" she sighed loudly again "Damnit Deven, I'm pregnent" I gasped

"Kacie that's wonderful! I'll call Ronnie and see if he picks up to me, if so I'll tell him to call you as soon as" Vic was looking at me weirdly probably because he knew I was with Ronnie. I looked at my text messages seeing one from Ronnie 

you took my car!?I rolled my eyes "Look I have to get back to the hotel, but how about we hang out tomorrow?" Vic smiled

"Sure of course, go sort out whatever the hell is going on with Ronnie and Kacie, I hope they end up working out" I nodded and stood up walking out of the coffee shop with Vic. He walked me to my, well Ronnie's car "I'll call you in the morning" he said as he grabbed me into a hug. I smiled widely 

"But will you?" I questioned remembering the last time he had said this. He chuckled

"You know I will" he stroked my cheek 

"Okay, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then" I got into the driving seat of Ronnie's car and drove back to the hotel. 

Ronnie was stood by the entrance  of the hotel lobby I smiled at him as I got out of the car "See it's fine I didn't crash it" he smiled as I got a cigerette out of my pocket and lit it

"I thought you were quitting smoking"

"It's harder than it looks, plus you have some explaining to do" I stated as I breathed in the smoke. He looked at me oddly "I just bumped into Vic he's back from Europe" I quoted my fingers as I said the word Europe. He tensed up a little and came closer to me "Deven I can explain I swear"

"Well I'm not cancelling our beach trip so you can explain once we get there" I put my cigerette out and went upstairs to put my bikini on underneath my clothes. When I got to the hotel room I noticed Ronnie's notepad out on the bed. I grabbed it and slid it into my handbag so that I could check that Kacie was talking about the right lyrics. 

When we got to the beach we sat down in the sand, the sun was going down now and the beach was practically empty apart from a couple of surfers. Ronnie sat down next to me in his swim trunks whilst I got out of my shorts and took my cardi off. I laid back on the towel I had set out "So come on explain? Why did you tell me Vic was out of the country when he wasn't at all?" Ronnie looked down at me through his sunglasses "It's a long story and I think we should start with the truth about why me and Kacie seperated" I sat back up and looked at him "We seperated because..." he bit down on his lip and shook his head "Because I'm in love with you" I sighed half heartedly. The sad thing was that I actually believed him "I thought if I lied and said that Vic was out of the country we could hang out alone for a bit until I was sure of my feelings" I bit my lip 

"I can't do this, you need to go home to Kacie now and tell her it was all a big misunderstanding okay?" I stood up and walked over to the shore line. Ronnie got up and followed me

"Deven you have to understand I can't go back to Las Vegas without you" I looked across at him as I dug my toes into the wet sand underneath us "Ronnie, don't worry about me, I'm going to stay here with Vic for a few days because you and Kacie definitley have a lot to talk about and I'm sure once she's told you her news you'll change your mind about me" I looked towards the sun which was setting just behind the ocean "Fine, I'll leave tomorrow but on one condition" I looked back at him "That you are 100% sure that Vic is the one you want" I looked back at the shore line 

"As sure as I've ever been Ronnie, that's what I came out for and that's what I'm going to get" he looked down at the sand and then drifted his eyes back up at me "Fine" He walked back up to where we had left the towels and I just stayed stood watching the ocean kiss the shore...
