Chapter Twelve

I had decided on a plain Black one shouldered dress which had a three quarter sleeve to wear to this party tonight and we were now back home. I still had to talk to Kacie for Ronnie but it seemed impossible, Ronnie was right she was being extremely clingy... Eventually Ronnie was getting bored of waiting for the two of us to get ready for this party so headed over there early to help them set up or whatever. This was the perfect time, I finished off my eye make up and then went into Kacie's room to see if she was ready and to of course ask her what was up. "Hey Kacie" "We need to talk" we both said at exactly the same time which was strange "You go first" I said seeing as I wanted to know what was up with her and I was presuming that is what she wanted to talk about. She sat down on her bed and looked down at the floor "Kacie what's up?" I sat down and grabbed her hand but she pulled them away "Are you and Ronnie having an affair" I laughed out loud but then stopped when I saw she was really serious about it "Oh my god Kacie no of course we're not, what made you think that?" she smiled a bit knowing that I was telling the truth

"It's just, I heard you two up talking last night and you shared the same bed last night and" I hushed her before she started crying she had just done her make up and it looked amazing I didn't want her to ruin it "We're not having an affair, he just wanted to make sure I was okay about the whole Vic thing" I stated to her stroking her cheek

"I feel stupid now" She stated as she stood up and grabbed her jacket from her chair "Come on let's just go and have a good time" I gave her a hug and we headed out to find a taxi seeing as Ronnie had already shot off in his car. 

When we arrived Charlotte answered the door "Aw I'm so glad the two of you could make it" she hugged me and I saw Jacky over her shoulder who looked a little bit pissed if I'm honest. Ronnie came over and hugged Kacie, he looked really smart in his suit and it made me giggle a bit. Then they dissapeared together meaning I was alone here. I went and grabbed some champagne and stood by the appetisers table where I found Derek, I ended up chatting to him and Ryan for most of the night apparently Kat was at work and couldn't make it which I was really happy about. It went really slowly and I ended up trying to text and call Vic but again he didn't respond. By 1am I was drunk and Kacie was shoving me into the back of Ronnie's car. 

The next morning it was a Monday and I groaned when I realised I had to work tonight with this ridiculous hangover. I walked into the kitchen seeing Kacie and Ronnie, "Woah Deven, how much did you drink?"

"Enough to forget that boring as hell party which is good, never take me to a party like that again" I stated as I grabbed some pain killers and a glass of water "Right well I'm off to work this afternoon because the new guy decided to quit an hour ago" she said looking at her watch I shrugged

"He was an arse anyway" Kacie laughed as she kissed Ronnie 

"I'll see you guys later" I was glad she was happier today than she was yesterday I can't believe she suspected me and her husband were having an affair. Ronnie looked up at me "I'm guessing you spoke with Kacie because she's acting a hell of a lot more well normal today" I looked down at the table and then looked up and sighed "Yeah I did" he widened his eyes as if to say well tell me then "She thought we were having an affair" I chuckled and he looked a little confused 

"Why would she think that?" he asked

"Oh she knew we shared a bed the other night" Ronnie parted his lips 

"I see makes sense, so you told her there was nothing going on?" I nodded

"Well there isn't so I wasn't going to say there was because that would be a lie" he nodded and then got up "I'm going to write some lyrics I'll be in mine and Kacie's room if you want anything" I nodded as I took my pain killers "Oh Ronnie wait, I do need to talk to you about Vic actually" Ronnie turned back around "You wanna come talk then?" I got up and followed Ronnie to his and Kacie's bedroom. I sat on the bed whilst he cleared up Kacie's desk so he could use it to write on
