Chapter Forty Four

4 days later--

It was the day before my Birthday and I was sat in the living room with Jaime and Tony watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Mike had gone to see Vic, I think they were writing together today. Kacie had text me a few times and had been over yesterday to see me. She said she would come get me tomorrow and we would go celebrate my birthday but to be honest I wasn't really in the mood to celebrate anything. Jaime had gone to the bathroom and I was sat with Tony admiring his tattoos "You know I've never seen star wars" I stated as I read his knuckle tattoos he looked at me like I was clinically insane "Are you for real!?" I widened my eyes at him before I felt someone wack me over the head with something which was pretty hard "Oh shit sorry I didn't mean to hit you that hard" I turned to see Jaime, he had a Green light saber in his hand I grabbed it 

"Does that mean I can get you back?" he shook his head as I jumped off of the sofa to hit him with it. The front door opened and I froze seeing Mike accompanied by Vic. I sat back down on the sofa and looked to the TV, but I could feel Vic staring at me. I then heard Kacie's voice and I turned to see her and Marie "Guys, we need you to come to Vic's we gotta get this record written" Tony stretched and got up handing me the light saber in his hand "May the force be with you" he said as I held the toy. Kacie came and sat down next to me "Hey, how are you doing today?" I nodded I didn't want to speak until Vic had left. "I want to come home Kacie!" I stated as soon as they had all left "But I can't, not until Vic's made his decision" Kacie shook her head at me. 

"Why don't you just come home, Vic misses you I know he does" she turned the TV off "I've been speaking to Mike" she said and I smiled at her

"Ohhh how are things going?" she smiled

"Fine but, he knows Vic better than anyone and he said that Vic definitely wants to be with you, no one else" I shrugged

"Then maybe he should come and tell me that himself" We spent most of the night talking about her feelings towards Mike and how I felt about if they got together before the door opened and Kacie had to leave with Vic, I really wanted to go with her back to my own bed with Vic but I couldn't live with someone who wasn't even sure of their feelings. Jaime had bought back Pizza and stuff with him so we sat in the living room and ate that before I decided I wanted to go to bed. 

The next day came around quickly and I was awoken by Jaime jumping on the bed "Happy Birthday!" he shouted as I wiped the sleep from my eyes 

"Thanks Jaime" I stated as he got into bed next to me 

"So what do you want to do today?" he asked me "Tony and Mike are recording, I finished all of mine so we got the day to ourselves" my face fell as I thought about Vic 

"I don't want to do anything, It's just another day" 

"Nonsense! It's your birthday! Get ready ok" I groaned as Jaime got out of bed and went back into the living room leaving me to get ready. Sulking wasn't going to get me anywhere today so I decided I may as well hang out with Jaime. At least someone cared enough.

We ended up doing fuck all though, we went to in n out burger but that was it. When I got back to the apartment I just went back into my room, Mike and Tony still weren't back yet and I hadn't heard from Kacie or even Vic for that matter. I was debating calling him when Jaime came into the room "Hey I gotta nip out to Vic's but I won't be long" I jumped off of the bed 

"Can I come?" I wanted to see Vic, Jaime smiled at me

"Er no, I don't think that's a good idea, I'll only be an hour I swear, they just want me to re record a part in this song" I stared at Jaime, knotting my eyebrows together

"Well I kind of want to speak to Vic" Jaime smiled at me 

"I'll be an hour" and with that he shut the door, I stood there speechless why the fuck would he not take me with him. 

I sat on the end of the bed pulling my knees up to my chest and leaning my head on my knees. It was my Birthday and I was sat on my own in this apartment, not even my best friend or boyfriend had made an appearance, just a text message saying happy birthday would have been nice. I cried for a good half an hour before I heard someone come into the apartment I ignored it knowing it was probably just Jaime returning. I sniffled as he opened my door, but he didn't say anything. I looked up seeing that it wasn't Jaime, it was Vic. I placed my head back down on my knees "Happy Birthday" I felt the bed sink next to me and he wrapped his arms around me "I'm sorry, please forgive me?" I shrugged "Look, I bought you your favourite flowers" I turned to look at him and I smiled looking at the Roses in his hand, he handed me them and I crossed my legs on the bed as I smelt them. "T-Thank you" was all I could muster up. He handed me a card too and I opened it reading the inside

To Deven, Happy 27th Birthday

I love you so much, Vic xxxxx

I smiled and placed the card on the bedside table "I should put these in some water"

"Just leave them in the sink for now, I wanna take you out so get ready" I shook my head

"I don't wanna go out, I have no motivation to do anything" Vic sighed

"Please? I'll get down on my knees, just let me take you out" I blinked and Vic came over to me he grabbed my face and wiped the messy make up from around my eyes "Fine, ok, but I don't want to go anywhere fancy" 

"Well hurry, I have another present for you in my car" I smiled at him as a hint of excitement and nerves hit my gut. I went into the bathroom and got ready before going down to meet Vic in his car. He handed me a box wrapped in bright Red shiny wrapping paper "Go on open it" I unwrapped it and opened what looked like a shoe box "Bowling shoes?" I asked staring down at the White shoes in front of me, they had a lace design on them and they were quite pretty for bowling shoes "Yeah, we're going bowling" I smiled 

"I haven't been bowling in so long!" I stated. 

When we arrived Vic stepped in front of the door as I was about to step in "What?" I asked

"You know I love you right" I shrugged knowing I wasn't sure still he sighed "Well you'll know I do after this" he grabbed my hand and I knotted my eyebrows together.

"Hey shouldn't we book?" I asked Vic as we walked straight past the booking desk, he completely ignored me and dragged me with him towards the lanes. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw everyone I loved sat in one of the lane booths "I-What-How!" I shouted at Vic as I caught site of my parents. I ran over to them an instantly hugged them ignoring the fact that Ronnie was also here.
