Amber missed the presence of Hank. He was still active in her life, but she didn't yearn for him as much as she had before.
But at this moment, the emotions surged through her veins and she became aware of how her senses heightened.
She was wearing her yoga pants that made all of her curves even more noticeable. He'd see that she had no butt and huge legs.
Amber hated being exposed like this, but she forced a smile and Hank sat in the spot she invited him to sit on.
Silence blanketed over them, and it wasn't awkward or tense. It was rather comforting.
She turned to looked at him only to find him gazing at her. He looked utterly lost, but totally determined.
"Do you come here often?" he chuckled looking away.
Amber laughed with him, "Not really."
Her words echoed and drifted in the wind, being carried off to the stars to dance in the night.
I missed you, Hank wanted to say but just smiled at her as she connected his with eyes again.
You've been gone for too long, she thought and looked away.
