The elegantly dressed female sat beside Hank as all the partiers gathered in the living room. Girls dangled on the couch and guys stood and sat on the floor.
The house felt cramped, but it didn't stop any of the teenagers from taking advantage of the small space.
"Hey," she breathed.
Hank blinked, "Amber?"
She lifted her mask and revealed her identity, "Hank?"
He chuckled and leaned back into the sofa, "I didn't know that was you. I was worrying that you didn't come to the party at all."
"I thought you didn't come."
They laughed together and Hank's arm casually resting on the back of the couch around Amber.
It wasn't much, but the action made both of their hearts flutter.
