Protecting the Alpha

*Chapter 10*

I woke up to feeling really hot. I was sweat drenched and itchy. I heard Rissa shouting at Flame for something. I stood up and went to go to the bathroom. As I took a step my legs began to lock up. I fell to the ground in pain. My door was broken down and Flame and Thayne were in the room. They were talking but I couldn't hear them. Then I heard a snap and very loud screaming. It took me a minute to figure out it was me who was screaming. The snaping was my bones. I was begining to change. I remeber when Flame changed. She told me it was the most painful thing she had felt. I felt someone pick me up and begin walking. I felt another bone snap. Then nothing, but sweet blackness. When I woke up I was laying on the forest ground. I went to stand and fell back down. " You will need to get used to eveything first Leah." Flame was sitting on a log across the clearing we were in. I snorted I looked down I had paws.

I had finally changed into my wolf form. I lifted my muzzle and sniffed the air. Diffrent scents hit me all at once. I could smell the pine and the dirt. I pushed myself up from the ground. I was unsteady but I kept my footing. I took a step forward then another. Without knowing what i was doing I walked over to the pond. I looked down and caught my reflection. I had caramel colored fur and smokey gray eyes. I really didn't belive that it was me. The wolf that was staring back at me was to pretty. I heard Flame behind me chuckle. " Thats you Leah. I know you don't look into mirriors. But thats the color of your hair and eyes." I turned my head slighty to look at her. She was right I didn't look in mirrors. I didn't want to see the scars. That I knew criss crossed my body. Flame cleared her throat " Leah if you want to change back just picture yourself." I closed my eyes and picture myself human. When I open up my eyes again i am on two feet.

Flame handed me some clothes and turned back around. It didnt take long and as I finished I felt myself sway. Flame put my arm around her shoulder. " Come on you need food for energy." All I could do was nod my head. I felt myself going weaker. I didn't know what was going on. When we reached the house I heared Thayne hollering from inside. " What is he hollering about?" We came through the mud room. Only to find Thayne with magenta colored hair. Rissa was on the floor laughing. " RISSA LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID!" Flame was laughing uncontrolably. All I could muster was a chuckle. "RISSA YOU HAD BETTER RUN!" Rissa sqeeked and jumped up and sprinted off. " Those two can not be left alone." I chuckled it was true. As Flame and I sat at the kitchen table talking we heard a large thudding noise come from the front door. I was still feeling very weak and unstable on my feet but I really didn't want Rissa answering the door. With the time I took to stand Rissa was hollering down the hall. " BANE IS HERE WITH SOME REALLY REALLY BIG GUY." I sighed out loud so much for her not answering the door.

When we rounded the corner my jaw dropped. It wasn't just a large man with Bane he was monsterous. Ban was chuckling beside the man. " This is my friend Blake the man I told you about that I called." I nodded my head " Sorry for coming earlier than planned mam. My buissness ended earlier then expected." I swollowed hard " Thats fine. Would you like anything to eat or drink." The monsterous man shook his head no. " No thank you mam. If its okay with you I would like to get started." I smiled then nodded my head. " Feel free to ask anyone questions if you have any. Lunch will be served at about one. You are free to join us if you want." the man nodded and,took out a note pad and digital camera. It seemed like hours have passed. I felt very weak and tired. When Blake was finally done he came into,the sitting room. " How much do,you think its going to cost?" I wasted no time to ask. Blake scratched hos head " I won' t know till I had order everthing that I would need. In the mean time here is my cellphone number. I don't have a hotel room yet so this will be the easiest way to reach me."

I looked up at him puzzled " Your not going to stay with one of the packs?" Blake shook his head no. " They are to afriad of me to let me." I looked over at Flame amd Thayne. " Well you can stay here with us. It actually makes sense for you to stay. You will be on site to do whatever you need to." Blake looked down on me in surprise. " Are you sure mam." I sighed him calling me mam made me feel old. " Call me Leah,and yes I'm sure. I'll take you to the room you will be staying in. " Thank you Leah." He went outside and came back with a couple of duffle bags. I motioned for him to follow me up. As I reached the top my head began to spin and my legs gave out. Blake caught me before I could hit the floor. He set me down gently and called for Flame. I heard her running foot steps. Bane was right behind her. " She looks really pale." I couldn't say anything I felt to weak to,talk. " I am going to call my pack doctor." Bane walked a little ways away as flame knelt by me.
