* Chapter 30 *

   I could feel nothing but dred at this very moment. Facing down Lucid was proving to worst point in my day. He was pacing back and forth in front of the pond when I found him. " I can take alot of things but I can no longer take Blake. When I first seen you at your fathers I was furious about how you were treated. And when I seen what your brother was about to do to you I wanted to rip him apart." Tears sprang into eyes and my chest tightened at the sight of Lucid almost broken and beaten befor me. How was it that he felt that we are mates but I can not. It was beyond unfair. And when I told blake what I felt aboit him finding a mate. I never dreamt that some where I would have one. " And you and Blake. Just thinking about it just makes me beyond angry. You are supposed to be mine Leah. So tell me Leah who do you want at your side?" I swollowed the lump that had loged its self in my throat. " There is nothing between Blake and I. I put a stop to anything." Lucid growled before punching a tree. There was a cracking sound. then a huge falling tree was the only sound. " So there was something between you two?" Tears sprung to my eyes. " What do you want me to say Lucid. That there wasnt that would be a huge lie." Anther crack resounded through out the forest. I flinched at the sound. "I can not give you what you want Lucid. As much as I want to I cant"

    I looled down as I felt the tears begin to run down my face. "All of this isnt fair Lucid. How can you feel the,mates connection. All I want is to feel like a normal wolf to be able to connect to her. To be able to our mate connection." I felt a warmth envelope me and knowing that it was Lucid made me cry harder. Why did it have to be this way.

" Leah we'll figure something out. Dont put all of this on you. If anyone is to blame its your father. For making you so disconnected to your wolf. And Im telling you this leah. Anther smart ass commemt from Blake and I will kill him." I didnt answer back just burrowed deeper into his warmth.

"Are you all right Leah?" Miles cold voice seeped into the clearing. " Im fine miles just a misunderstanding." There was a soft breeze and all went back to being quite amd still. " I didnt even sense him near. Did you?" I nodded my head yes I was feeling extreamly tired and all I wanted was lay down. "How did you know he is here."

I shook my head "He left a few minutes ago. He trained me you know this already." I pulled away from Lucid as the smell of human came close to the clearing. "Do you smell that?" Lucid looked around "Yes...  Human." everything became silent which made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. "Lucid something doesnt seem right." There was a blood curdling scream that shattered the errie silence. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!" I was already running to where the screaming was coming from. "LEAH!" Lucid bellowed after me. There was anther scream but this one closer and louder. There was only the humans scent in the air. as I skidded to a halt in a grove of trees I froze in horror.
