Protecting the Alpha

* CHAPTER 25 *

     The lost history was a thing of legend. More of a fairytale that parents told kids. Whoever was to find it was to hold the knowledge of all the supernaturals. So of course people have searched for it. No one has found it. " Thats impossible thats just a story. Something that grownups tell kids." Costella shook her head no. " Its not just some story its true. I discovered it some years back." I looked over to miles only to see him shrug his shoulders. "You didnt think to tell me this."

He raised up from his chair "Would you have believed me if I did?"  I sat there for a moment. Would I have believed him. Yes I would have. I have trusted Miles from the start. "If you would have told me I would have believed you." Miles looked out the window opting to stay quite. "I just need to look at something. And Im suspecting you need to also." I nodded my head "Pack what you need. We need to leave right away." Costella didnt take long to pack. "Well lets go get your kids back."

Soon Rissa and Ryia and the boys will be home.

Rissa you need to hurry. I was grabbing files and many other things. Stuffing them in a back pack we found. Alright im done lets get back to our room before The idots figure out we escaped agian. Ryia and I stuck our heads out into the hall. Quietly we snuck out the office and made our way back. You should have let us go. Giggling at my friends I hid the back pack under the bed. We were just fine and we were quicker. Archer and Oakley crossed their arms over their chest. We promised to protect you. I stomped my foot and huffed out. We know you two have but you cant do everything. we can take care of ourselves. Ryia added.

   We know that we just made a promise. Ryia snorted but walked further in the room. We need rest if we plan on escaping tonight. The boys nodded their heads and settled down next to us. We had to escape or atleast try to.

   "How much further is the barrer?" I craned my head around the front seat to look at Costella. "Not mightch further we will be there by nightfall." She nodded her head and looked back down at the book she was reading. We were in Miles jeep driving to the barrier. Costella was in back with Flame looking through a stack of books. trying to figure out what barrier magic was being used. As we slowed to where my pack warriors stood Costella looked up. "This magic is familiar." She put her hand on my shoulder as she stepped up beside me. "Did you see the witch that took the children." I shook my head. "No one saw her." Costella stepped up to the barrier and murmured some words. There was shimmer and she stepped back. "You can go through now. But I would like to go with you. Make sure there isn't anymore." I nodded my head. "Dayan stay with Costella make sure she dosent get hurt."

Dayan stepped throuth the crowed and came to a stop beside Costella. "We are going also. We are supposed to be your guard. So let us do our job." Nick interjected. "Okay fine but do not get in my way." Miles chuckeled at me. "ALRIGHT EVERYONE LETS GET MY DAUGHTERS AND THE TWINS BACK." We moved through were the barrier used to be and headed torwards the cabin.

   Guys I think we are going the wrong way. We were bent over and breathing heavily. It seemed as if we were running in circles. We need to keep going keep going straight. Archer and Oakley said. Ryia shook her head I dont know if I can keep going. I walked over to my sister and hugged her You can we will help you. Ryia nodded and straightened up. So we keep going straight? The boys nodded and began walking again. we couldn't be to far from our home. I Could smell our pack scent. "Archer do you hear that?" Oakley whispered out. Archer nodded "Yeah it sounds like Flame but muffled. Do you hear it Rissa?" I walked slowly towards the Oakley. Listening closely I heatd muffled voices. I grinned when I heard my mommy's voice. "Its everyone!" I turned to Ryia Its mommy Ryia. We took off and headed toward voices. We began to run faster as we seen our mommy and family. We skid to a stop in front of them out of breath.

   It felt as if everything stopped when I saw my babies stop right in front of me. The were dirty and looked hungry. But they werent hurt. The boys had few bruises but nothing to bad. A grin spread across my face and a sense of relife spread through my heart.  Costella finshed her murmuring and stepped back. Once a again there was a shimmering. Rushed over to the girls while Flame rushed over to the twins. They smiled from ear to ear. "We need to get home." I looked up seeing miles standing over us. Sending my warriors ahead of us we climbed into the jeep and headed home.

Upon entering the house the kids rushed to the kitchen. Miles,Costella,Flame,Arron,Tinsley,Thayne,Jocelyn and I followed. They were ripping through the cabints and fridge getting things to eat. Once they settled at the table. All of us sat with them. "Oakley can you give my mommy the back pack?" With out looking away from his food Oakley handed me the back pack. "We went through their office before we escaped." Rissa said through a mouth full of food. "That was smart." Miles told them. I glared at him for a second. "Theres some really weird stuff in there mommy." I furrowed my eyebrows. "What do you mean weird sweetie?" Rissa shrugged her shoulders. Unzipping the pack I pulled out the huge stack of files. It was files on women. From supernatural to non. "What the..." I whispered to myself. I began to flip through the files faster. "Leah whats in the files?" I ignored the question. Opening the last file I couldnt breath. There right in front of me was my mother. I looked up at everyone. then back down at the file. "There kidnapping women from supernatural to non. Performing experiments and selling them off to get money."  my voice broke and I could feel my throat constricting. "And my mother is still alive." Miles shot up from his chair and grabbed the file I was holding. He yelled in anger then there was a loud bang as he slamed his fist into the wall. Everyone was deathly quite. Costella was quitely crying. As I just sat there not really knowing what to do with myself. "We need to find my mother and everyone else in these files." I heard myself saying. "Lucid will be here Tomorrow. We can get some of his guys to start looking for leads." I looked up at Miles "Promise me you wont go off looking by yourself." Miles stared out the kitchen window. It seemed like hours before he nodded his head in agreement.   "Costella were is the Lost history?" I wanted and needed a distraction with this new knowledge of my mother being alive. "Its...Its in a ruin in

Eygpt."  My eyes grew wide. "Eygpt?" Costella nodded "Eygpt." "Well kids get some rest tomorrow we pack and we are off to Eygpt." They hollard in excitement and went back to eating. "Ill need to bring my gaurds with me. What about you all you guys in?" Everyone nodded there heads. "Hell ya were in." Thayne said excitedly. I shook my head at him and laughed. Yup just the distraction I needed.

     The next day was pure chaos. Lucid showed up and of course was being difficult from the start. "You know Im coming with you to Eygpt." It was a demand hidden in a statement. I rolled my eyes for the dozenth time that day. "So you keep telling me. And I keep telling you no your not." His irritating smirk slid across his face. "Doesn't  mean Im going to listen." I growled at him. "Are you not supposed to listen to me. Since I am going to be queen?" I asked sarcastically. He shrugged his shoulders with his stupid grin still across his face. "Your not fully queen yet Darlin." I narrowed my eyes at him and stormed off. This was going to be a extreamely long trip.
