Protecting the Alpha

*CHAPTER 13*

On Saturday we found ourselves waiting outside of two huge doors. waiting to be announced to the crowd in the ball room. Flame was beside me while everyone else was behind us. I heard our pack name as the doors swung open. As we stepped through we were greeted with applouse . We stood with the other packs waiting for the council to speak. One of the men came to stand on a stage. "Now for those who do not know some of the American packs have come to join us here." It felt like all the air was sucked out of me. Flame moved closer to me. "Now let me introduce the first pack." All I could do was hope it wasn't my father . " Black Falls." I heard Thayne growled and moved in front of Jocelyn . Blake looked around at everyone with a puzzled expression .

I turned around to my pack "This is neutral ground. Do not fight here." I laced my alpha power with the command . "Leah who is that?" I heard Blake's voice rumble out. " That's my father." Blake snarled and stepped up to stand on the other side of me. When I turned my father was making his way toward the council. He spotted me and gave off a sickly sweet smile. He was mere inches from me now. " So this is were you ran off to." I glared at my father. " I ran no where I left." My father glared at me.

" You dare to speak to me in that way." I didn't answer him. He took a threatening step towards me. my pack began growling in warning. My brother laughed along with my father's pack. " You are weak you couldn't fight me." I just looked at my father. " I should have burnt down your mother's pack house when I was here last time. You are pathetic just like her"

My father spat out at me. " You know Kyle I remember what happened last time. Do you remember ?" A man stepped in front of me but I caught the fear in my father's eyes. " This is neutral ground Miles." The man nodded his head " Its best you remember that Kyle." the man's voice was cold and stony. Anger flashed in my father's eyes. " You can't speak to me that way." my father growled out. The man put his hands in his dress slacks pockets.

" We can take this off neutral ground Kyle." My fathers face paled massively before he turned and left us. " I'll be waiting for you at your home." The man didn't even turn to look at me. before I could get in a word he was gone. "What was that?" Tinsley asked " I have no idea what happened here."
