* CHAPTER 16*

Later on that night I met Miles in the back garden. " Your on time." I didn't have anything to say so I stayed silent. " Your first lesson is going to be on stealth. If you make no noise and are light on your feet. It will be easier for you to go unnoticed. Now follow me." We walked into the forest a few feet to a clearing. Miles stopped in front of a cabin and sat down on the porch steps.

" You see those tiles?" I looked over to were he was pointing. there was a strip of tiles two wide on a platform of sorts. " Yes I see them." I turned back to Miles " That is what you will be training on." I walked over to the platform as I went to step on I was stopped by Miles. " No shoes Leah." I kicked off my shoes and socks and step on the step to the platform. I didn't understand how this was going to help me.

I stepped up on to the first tiles. as I stepped on the second I held back a scream. I lifted my foot to see droplets of blood forming. " I forgot to tell you. the heavier you step on a tile spikes will shoot up into your foot." Miles stood up from the step " Come find me when you can walk across without the spikes shooting up." How was I supposed to do that. I stepped again and stiffeled another scream. I walked up and down the platform for what seemed like hours. my feet felt bruised and I had gotten blood all over. I stood back from the platform, there had to be a way to do this.

As I looked at the platform I had a idea form. I stayed at the corners I can maybe step light enough not to set off the spikes. I took a deep breath and prepared myself. I stepped onto the corner and let out a breath I was holding. I lightly stepped onto the next with the same results. No spikes came up from the tiles. I smiled to myself and kept going. I repeated my process a couple more times. As I stepped off the platform I stumbled before catching myself and walking on.

When I found Miles in the cabin sipping from a glass. " Go home Leah.Be at this cabin tomorrow same time." to say I was relieved that he was letting me go home was an understatement. But I was not excited about walking home. My feet were bruised and my healing was still slow. As I began walking home I noticed I was walking as I did on the platform. after hours of me training my body just automatically began walking that way.

When I finally reached home I went up to my room. I didn't shower or change out of my clothes. The only thing I did was flop onto my bed and fall asleep.

I woke up the next morning to really sore feet. each step I took made me wince in pain. I still wasn't fully healed. Just one of the side effects of not being able to change into my wolf. I can't even talk to my wolf like the others. Nor do I think I will ever be able to. I can still feel her though. My full connection to her is limited. One of the many reasons why I agreed to train with Miles. Not because I wanted to. So if I had go through pain then so be it. I've felt with years of it. Walking into the kitchen I was relived to see no one.

I piled a plate full of eggs and bacon. That someone had made for everyone. I sighed in relief when I sat down. today was going to be very uncomfortable. " Let me see your feet." A sleepy voice rumbled out. I turned to see Blake behind me. he pulled a chair by me and sat down. I propped my feet in his lap. He began to poke and prod my feet. I kept shifting in my seat in pain. " What happened Leah. Both of your feet have holes and bruises all over them." I hissed in pain when he touched a more sensitive bruise.

" I'm learning stealth with Miles. I had to learn how to walk lightly last night." All Blake did was nod . He didn't ask anything. It was if he didn't want to. " I don't want to know what's going on when he trains you." I was silent not knowing why he wouldn't. Flame is going to be all over me wanting to know. I will be hiding this for now. once she knows I'm being hurt her beta wolf will want to take the threat out. " Blake we need to keep this between us.If flame finds out she will want to go after Miles." Blake sighed "You will have to tell her at some point Leah." I frowned " I know just not now." I heard a throat clear" Well don't you two look all cozy." I looked around Blake to see Tinsley grinning from ear to ear. I felt my face go hot. Blake glared at Tinsley. She bursted out laughing again. " Leah your legs are still on Blake." I felt my face go even more red. I took my legs off Blake as he stood to get breakfast. He was still glaring at Tinsley as she laughed harder. I shook my head and smiled a small smile.
