Protecting the Alpha

* CHAPTER 29 *

   Entering the meeting room with the council was not as nerve wreaking as the first time. However it was extremely stressful. I had my bodyguards and also some of the warriors with me. Not to mention both Blake and Lucid. We sat in our area and waited as all the packs sat down. The council came in last and took their seats. "Alpha Leah. It has come to our attention that you have been making an army." I stood and crossed my arms. If I didnt know not to trust the council I did now. They were not supposed to know about the war brewing or that I was building as they called an army.  "Lets cut to the chase. All of you are in my fathers back pocket. So don't think I'm dumb. I don't trust you at all. And from here on out I have no use for you." I stepped onto the middle of the room and faced all the packs. "As for all of you Know that I am to be queen. And you all are welcome to join our fight. If you choose not to and choose to stay out of the war know that I will not hold that against you." I turned then and went to walk out of the room.  "You dare challenge the council!" On of the men from the council shouted at me. "I will challenge whoever refuses to see what is going on in front of them! You Refuse to see what my father is doing. And you refuse to see the damage and how he is on the brink of exposing the supernatural world!" I seen Bane stand with a man who I assumed to be his father. I have only met bane never his family. Although from what I have heard his family os powerful. "My son has told me all that has been going on. My pack would like to join your cause." Bane was grinning at me as his father walked down to my side. " As will mine!" A man stood and began walking towards me. It took everything I had not to step back from him. He was huge. Way bigger than Blake. He held out his hand and I took it. Only to find myself chuckling at how absurd it looked. As he moved my eyes grew as most of the packs stood. Including the Alpha who Flame and I fought. "Queen Leah!" All the men shouted. I smiled at the Alphas and then turned to the council. "Tell my father we are coming for him." We all filed out of the council room. To the sounds of their shouts and curses.

   "Well that went well." Rivers voice cut through the silence that settled over our group. I chuckled "Went better then I thought it would. We have most of the packs around us join our cause" I stepped into our pack house with everyone behind me. "So what now?" Fin a new warrior to the pack looked around at us all. "We wait for my Father to slip up. He's going to be angry after he hears about what happened today. He'll do something rash to try to make a point. Now while we wait for that to happen does anyone have new information on were my father is keeping the women and my mother at?" We had made our way to my office were we all could sit. "We think we may know where they are being kept. We haven't confirmed that's were they are. But I have a feeling they are." Blake spoke out. I could see Lucid glaring at him from across the room. I held in a sigh as I watched Blake glare back. The two just refused to get along. "Blake,Lucid. You two are going to get someone for me." They both growled "I am not..." I glared at Blake "You two are the only ones who could do what I want done. So suck it up would you." Lucid let a smirk slide onto his face. " Afraid I'm going to show you up." I narrowed my eyes at Lucid hoping he would get the message and stop before they took it to far. "No I'm not worried at all Lucid. it's you who should be worried." I had a bad feeling about how calm Blake was taking this. He was uasually quick tempered and already throwing a punch by now. "Why is that Blake?" Lucid sneered. Blake smirked "Because she will always compare you to me." My breath caught in my throat and my eyes widened. I was so shocked at what Blake said for a moment. Then I was embarrassed then I was angry. More angry then I have been in my entire life. "Get out of here now." Flame, Tinseley and Jocelyn made their way over to me. As Blake and Lucid just stood there looking at me "I said to get out of here." Blake turned and faltered in his steps. " Leah I'm..." I raised my hand to stop him. "Just stop and leave. The both of you." Lucid looked straight at me before leaving "We need to talk later." Then he left and I slumped into my desk chair. Hearing the anger in Lucid's voice almost made me flinch. "What was that about?" Flame came to stand by me. Looking up at her through my eyelashes my tears spilled out. "we had something what I don't know but I put a stop to it." Flame wrapped an arm around me trying to comfort me. "Whoa slow down repeat please." Tinsley interjected. "Lucid thinks he is my mate. And Blake still wants to be with me." All the girls smiled and began laughing "Your in a love triangle how very cliche of you Leah." Jocelyn forced out through her laughter. "When did all this happen?" Flame was doubled over. narrowing my eyes at them I growled. " This is not funny." but they just laughed harder. 

  "They are so irritating." Flame Tinsley and Jocelyn just laughed even harder.  I felt my own laughter begin to bubble up. once it was out I couldn't stop. We didn't stop till we were bent over.

    After our laughter died down Tinsley smiled. "Well if anything the thought of your mother coming home should cheer you up" I smiled. My mother will be coming home soon. She was coming home to my new loving family.
