Two Groups

Chapter 17

As a day past everyone at the manor were oblivious to what had happened with the ship heading to Mona. As lives were lost the last couple hours, it was the morning sunrise. There was a body on the shoreline that was unconscious, he awoke then started to feel around to see his surroundings. He felt sand and water hitting his heels. He got up looked around, he saw broken bits of sail and wood. He was worried he did not saw his wife no where near him, he felt a lonely presence. He started to get up, and then went running to the woods to find her. He looked and looked endlessly. He started to worry more and more about Luciana. He could not find her anywhere, he reached back to the shoreline where he had started.
Zaccheuas looked at the sea to see if anyone was put there finding him or Luciana trying to find him, he was sad that he could not find his wife. He walked to the shoreline he yelled " Luciana, Luciana!!! Adonde estas ( where are you ) Luciana!!!!!!!!!" He dropped to his knees after what he had said then he looked up at the sky. The waves started to hit his knees, he did not move, he felt how cold was the water. He was looking at the sky, she was not there with him. He looked down and saw something that hit his legs in a rocking motion. It was Luciana's Necklace that she would always wear, he grabbed it gently. He looked around to see if she was around. He stayed quiet he yelled " Zuimaco, Y'ocahu, ( mother of spirits, the creator) help me find my beloved. I do anything....................................................Dios por favor hágame un favor ( God please do me a favor)."
He saw a something being carried to the shore it was a body, he prayed to any gods even Luciana's God that it was not her that is the body. Zaccheuas walked to the body as he came closer the suspense kept growing bigger by the second he saw... Everything was quiet. Zaccheuas did not say anything but he picked the body. He brushed the sea weed off of Luciana's corpse to see her. He put her on the ground, he saw that she was pale, her mouth was open. Her body lifeless. He tried to find a pulse he kept denying that she is gone. He grabbed her lifeless hands, he stayed there not wanting to leave her. He stayed there, he did not want to live anymore without her. He saw something lighten up on her chest. He remember what happen at the Cacibajagua the day he brought Luciana inside.
He started to see the spirit of Luciana come out from her body. She looked at him she was tearing up she smiled, she gave him a hug, she then disappeared inside of him. He felt her presence, the feeling of her happiness inside him. He then started to make a fire to cremate Luciana. He did not want to see her be decomposed. It took him an hour to do the deed.

Later......

Estrella was feeding Miguel in his room just when she felt a breeze took in, from the window as hard as it did. It was not something normal, Estrella felt her mother's presence like she was holding her one last time. Alonso came into the room to check up on them. He saw Estrella, then he saw a tear on her face. She turned and said to him " I feel something has happen to Bibi" she said putting Miguel on the crib. She started to weep, he walked to her and comforted her. He told her it was ok, she will be ok.

Later.........

Zaccheuas waited to see that her corpse was burnt completely, while it was burning he started to weep. His love who had known since he was a teen growing into a man was dead. She who always knew what he wanted and what he was expecting when things happened. He took the ashes that were left from the fire then puts it into a small container he had brought with him. He collected it then he started to make a makeshift raft from the trees and spare ship parts he found around, it took him an half an hour to finish. It was successful, he got in and rowed out of the small island and headed into the bigger island.
As he landed he recognized the land he was near the town south of the island. He was far from Mona and far from home. He decided to head home he had no where else to go, he did not want to think anymore. He Left heading north west to Caparra. It took him an hour to reached there. He did not turned to head to the manor. He went straight to the tavern. He went in and bought a beer. He drank the whole thing in one gulp, he was not happy. He wanted to drown in his sorrows. Then he felt Luciana's loving spirit inside of him telling him not to. He decided to head back home.
As he reached back he did not hesitate coming in. He just knocked and went inside, Estrella came and Alonso started to walk in. Zaccheuas said that she was gone. Estrella started to weep and Alonso had to comfort her, Zaccheaus went to Estrella and gave her a hug for comfort. Then he went to sleep in his empty bed and empty room.
By the next day Zacccheaus slept in not wanting to realize what had happen with Luciana. He was still asleep, tired with what just happened. He had a nightmare.
Zacchueas awoke at a small room, that accommodated a kitchen, bathroom, living and bed room all in one place. It was a poorly made room. He looked to see photo of people who dressed weirdly who had a device in their palms. He got up he saw a letter it was addressed to Luciana. It was a letter referring about why she did not want to talk to him or be with him in which he wrote back to her. He looked dumbfound. Luciana was gone, she is not here as well as where was he?
Then Zaccheaus remembered that he will have another chance in the world with Luciana. He began to think then he decided to let it continue. He walked out of the room to be amazed at what he saw. He saw everything different but also everything either words written in a signature on walls to see people waiting near the room or talking in groups, more people pouring around.
He continued to where he was headed, he did not recognized the way he was going till he saw the manor. It had looked different from what it had looked from where he had lived. He then walked to head to the door. But he saw two people hugging and what looked like they were in love. He hesitated then walked to see that it was Luciana she was with a teen that Zaccheaus did not knew who it was. He was mad, he saw Luciana turned to see him. She was saying stuff but he did not heard her. He started to walk away he felt anger and everything turning into turmoil with the scene that just had happened.
Zaccheaus woke up from his dream. He was sweating from having that nightmare. He looked to see where was Luciana, he remembered she was not there or anywhere. He laid back down he waited till he fell asleep again.

Flashback.....

"Luciana!" Yelled Zaccheaus he waited for her to come from the house. He thought she was having trouble but she exited the house. She was just holding her bag ready to buy some stuff. As they left the house they went to the market at Caparra. They headed and bought goods and they have bought also stuff for the manor to decorate. Zaccheaus looked outside from the shop that he was in he saw something from the distanced that caught his eyes. He followed it and it was a sign at the wall that had his attention.
It showed a taino symbol painted in but it was fading, he saw that it was symbol for war against the Guami'ken . Luciana saw it as well. She looked at Zaccheaus. He looked back at her then they headed back to the market.

End of flashback.......

As the day have passed Zaccheaus started to work around the manor again looking to ease his mind from Luciana's death. He could not find any work to keep him from thinking. He was suffering from the inside he calmed down as he drinked some Mabi. He went around, he could not stop thinking. He was tired, he went to Estrella he wanted to talk to her about what he was going to do. He saw her come to him. She was smiling, she asked " Can I help you baba?"
He looked at her, he smiled but he did not felt happy. He said " My Rahe I will be leaving for a journey that would take a long time in which I may never return." Estrella did not smiled she was sad but then she shook her head
She said " Baba you have your destiny, always take care of yourself. You know you can always come back here." Zaccheaus hugged her, he then went to Alonso and gaved him his last salutation. He saw Miguel, he then gave him a hug goodbye. He left out of the Manor, he walked into the direction he always went too. He headed to the Cacibajagua.
As he started to head to the cave, he was stopped by Don Germán. He looked at him and nodded his head for approval to Zaccheaus. Then Davíd came and shook his hands, Pedro gave him couple inspiring words and he gave a pat to Zaccheaus's back. He left following to the forest.
He headed to the cave he was heading to. As he walked to the cave he felt his heart growing feeling some energy coming from his heart.
He passed the Caribe village to see that it was gone. All he saw that the village was burnt and destroyed. Zaccheaus started to think.
As I reached to the Cacibajagua, I saw the enterance of the cave. I walked inside never thinking that it was my last time entering it. I did not think I just went with the flow of things. I went to  the center of the cave. I stayed quiet then waited which took a day.
I woken from my slumber, I saw a Hu'pia it was Luciana. She was quiet, she started to cry. I walked behind her and called her name. She disappeared. I looked at the entrance, it was destroyed and was covered with rubble. I looked at the exits but I have not found one.
I looked and asked "Bibi?" I waited to find no answer. I saw that Bibi manifested into being. She came to me with sadness in her eyes. She told me that I could not leave anymore. I said
" Take me to Luciana, all I want is Luciana."
She looked then she nodded, he waited to hear everything collapse in the Cacibajagua. As everything fell he wished Estrella and her family to be well. Then a boulder have fallen from the top and he looked up to see everything disappear.
