The Hospital

We arrived at the hospital and before I knew what was happening, Jesy was whisked away by the doctors and nurses that were waiting and the paramedics frantically telling them what they knew. I followed them in but i didnt see where they went. I looked around but could see them. I mustve looked like a lost puppy. A young women, who was dressed in a skirt suit approched me and smiled warmly.

"Hello. im Shannon. The paramedics said you looked distrested so I came to look after you." She shook my hand.

"Im jade" i answered her.

"Well they are taking her up to the emergency ward so if you would like to follow me please." She led me towards the lifts and pressed a button.

"As far as I know they are running tests on her but im not sure. Im quite new here" she smiled to me. I knew she was just trying to be nice and make conversation but to be honest, i wasnt really in the mood for talking. We got in the lift and took me to the Emergency ward. The family room was full of people so she took me along to a private room that just had two sofas, a table, a tv and lots and lots of magazines. "Can i get you a sandwich or anything?" she asked me.

"A cup of tea would be great thanks" i smiled at her and she nodded. I could here her heels clicking as she walked down the hall. I pulled out my phone and phoned Perrie.

"Hiya Jade" she chirped into the phone.

"Perrie, can you and Leigh come to the hospital please?" a tear rolled down my cheek and my voice broke as i said it.

"Why? whats happened? are you okay? is Jesy okay?" the happiness had gone from her voice and she was panicking.

"Please just come down here! im in the emergency ward!"

"Okay Jadey, im coming, i will pick Leigh up on the way. Bye baba"

"Bye Pez"

Shannon entered the room with my coffee. She layed it on the table and sat opisit me.

"Do you need me to phone someone?"

"No thank you, i just phoned my friends, they are on their way down. Would you be able to meet them and tell them where to go?"

"of course I can" she smiled "just come find me if you need anything" and she left the room. I picked up a magazine and flicked through the pages. I skimmed over the words for what felt like forever but as only 10 minutes.

The door flew open and there stood Perrie and Leigh. I jumped from my seat and into their arms.

"Shannon told us what she knew in the hall but baba what happened?" Perrie sat me down again and sat next to me. Leigh-Anne sat on the other couch.

"I just came home and she was lying on the floor. She was covered in bruises and blood was everywhere. She didnt have her jeans on so I think she mightve been raped but i dont know!" Tears fell from all of our eyes and Perrie pulled me close. Leigh came and squished herself in beside us and gave me a hug to.

"Do you have any idea who done it?" she asked me softly.

"I think it was Sam but im not sure to be honest" I dried my eyes only to cry again.

After a long time of comforting eachother and crying a doctor came into the room. He shook all of our hands.

"How bad is it? Just tell me. I want to know!" i rushed out as he sat down oposite us.

"Im afriad Miss Thrilwall that it is quite bad. Shes in a critical condition but shes not in a coma or anything. She lost alot of blood and it was good you found her when you did or Miss Nelson might not still be here. She hasnt woken up probarly but she seems to be aware at somepoints but we are doing all we can. We are keeping her for a couple of days for observation. Due to the state she is in we can only let family stay overnight so Miss Thirlwall, i believe youre her girlfriend" he looked at me and I nodded. "Would you be prepared to stay overnight, she keeps murmering your name." and i nodded again. If she wanted me here then I would be here for her. "One of you girls could stay and the other could drive you home so you can pack a bag of essentials" Perrie took my hand.

"I will drive Jade and Leigh Anne could you stay with Jesy"

Leigh Anne nodded and we all stood up. Me and Perrie rushed back to my flat and i changed into comfier clothes and threw deodrant and sudoku books and stuff into a bag. Perrie said that she would come in and let me come home for a freshen up tomorow.

We got back to the hospital and raced down the corridor to Jesys room. I stopped in the doorway because of what I saw. Her face was white as a sheet, she had banadges on her arms and her hold body was bruised. I burst into tears and ran to her bedside. I dropped the bag and took hold of her hand. It was so cold and it looked so pale against my skin.

"Jesy im sorry about what he did to you but you need to pull through this. Youre a fighter. I know you are" I lent down and kissed her chapped lips softly. Leigh Anne put a comforting hand on my back. She had tears falling from her eyes and so did Perrie.

We sat for hours beside her bed but she never woke up. Perrie and Leigh Anne left and said just to call if i needed anything. One of the nurses brought in a comfy chair bed that i could sleep on and there was a bathroom through the door in the corner off the room that i could brush my teeth in and stuff.

I climbed on to the chair but didnt put the recliner up yet. I watched Jesy sleeping. She looked so peaceful even if her breathing was shallow. I got a brush out my bag and gently brushed through the hair that was lying over her shoulders. I pushed the chair as close to the bed as I could and put the recliner up. I lay down under a blanket i had been given and reached for Jesys hand.

"Goodnight Jes" I whispered and closed my eyes.
