Danny drove me back to the club to get my car. He stood in the parking lot, watching me as I drove off and he actually looked sad about it. Like I was driving over his hopes and dreams. Seeing him like that, it made me feel pretty bad.

I didn't drive straight home. I actually took the long way, driving past the beach and the café, stopping to go in. Approaching the counter, I noticed that Kendra wasn't there. Instead there was a brunette in her place.

"Hi, what can I get for you?" I wasn't too concerned about it, thinking maybe she was in the back, or that it was a shift change, but I doubted that because she had just taken a break, not too long ago.

"Um, hi I was actually looking for my friend Sandra. Is she still here?" The girl looked up at me, shaking her head.

"No, she actually never returned from her break." This couldn't be true, I watched Kendra head toward the back when Danny showed up.

"W-what? How could she not be back? I sent her break with her, I watched her head toward the back. What? You guys just miss a blonde walking through the kitchen?" The girl, noticing my concern, gave a sympathetic look.

Crossing my hands over my chest, I try to figure out what happened. "I'm sorry, but no one saw her. You say you're her friend?" Turning my head to the girl, I nod

"Yeah. Why?" The girl was in complete shock, shaking her head.

"I'm sorry. It's just, Sandra never had any close friends, well not that any of us knew of. She always just come and goes, whenever she pleases. Like she's....." Her voice trailed of and I knew exactly what she was thinking.

"Hiding from something." I whispered the words, still looking at her and she nodded.

"Yeah, but, she's never done anything like this before. I mean, don't get me wrong, she's a strange character, but this is just unlike her."

I remember first meeting Kendra at the club in the parking lot, and then, again at the Fun House. Even in my dreams, Kendra just popped up whenever she felt like it, and left when she wanted to. It reminded me of Daniel.

When Daniel showed up at the café, Kendra quickly, disappeared. The rest of the crew wasn't that far. Did they find Kendra? Is she alright?

I pulled out the napkin that she wrote her number on and realized the girl was still looking at me. "Sorry, I have to go."

Leaving the café, I rushed to my car, and didn't waste any time. Driving around, I searched for a payphone anywhere. It seemed impossible to find in this day and age, but I managed to find one at a gas station, not too far from my house.

Picking up the phone, I inserted my money and quickly dialed the number. The phone rang and rang, just when I thought no one would answer, I heard a voice.

"H-hello?" It was her, I sighed of relief, being able to hear her voice.

"It's me, Jess." I could hear the relief in her voice and it actually made me quite sad, that Kendra would live her whole life on the edge of her feet, at all times.

"Oh! Jessa, I didn't think you'd actually call, but I'm kind of glad you did. Everyone in that businesses turned their backs on me and........" Her voice trailed off into sad, unmentionable memories. "Why.......did you call?"

I opened my mouth to speak, knowing I had to choose my words very carefully. From what I gathered about about Fiona so far, she was like Danny.......no matter what lie you said, she knew what you really wanted to say, she knew the truth before you did.

"Y-you didn't come back from your break. Your co-worker was worried. I-I was worried. You left out of there so quick and you didn't come back. Why?" She took a deep breath and there was a long pause in between the lines. In the background, I could hear music playing, but it was very faint.
