"Jessa." I had searched the club for Jessa, but I didn't see her and I figured that maybe she'd be upstairs. "Jessa! Jess!" As my calls went unanswered, the sudden urge to panic ran through my veins.

Heading toward Phillip's room, I opened the door only to see Darla in a hoodie and sweatpants, her hair was tied in a bun and she was sitting on the bed, reading a book. "What?"

"Have you seen Jessa? I've been looking for her everywhere, as a matter of fact, where's Phillip?"

"I don't know and, honestly, I don't care." My eyes widened in shock. Darla had never spoken so harshly before.

"What? Darla, they're our friends." rolling her eyes, Darla lowered the book.

"Wrong. Jessa is just your silly, little crush and Phillip is my boyfriend. She's not my friend."

"What? Darla, how could you say that..."

Clearly, irritated, Darla gave me her full attention. "Listen, Danny. All I know is that Jessa went missing and Phillip called her, after that, no Phillip and no Jessa. Really, I couldn't care less about what they were doing, and it wouldn't surprise me if they hooked up."

Closing the book, Darla got up and walked past me, out of the door and to her own room. I was left speechless and as I turned around, it was clear that what Darla said was no joke.

"Really?" Pulling out my phone, I quickly, dialed Phillip's number.

"Hello."

"Hey, Finni. Uh, where are you?" If Darla was telling me the truth, than wherever Finni was, Jessa had to be there too and I really hoped she wasn't. My heart can't take another beating.

"At the café, the one Jessa use to work at. Why, did you need something?"

"Um, no. It's just.......I was looking for Jessa that's all, I haven't seen her since I drove her back to the club, when we left the beach." There was a lot of shouting in the background. "You sure you're okay, man?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. About Jess, though, I haven't seen her."

"Really? Because Darla told me you talked to her on the phone and then you just disappeared." As I talked to Finni, I headed to my room to get my secrect laptop, that I kept hidden from the rest of the family. I went to pull up cell phone history and locations on Jessa and Phillip.

"Yeah, well, I talked to her, but that was it. We just talked........I'm guessing you want to know about what, huh?"

"Yeah, that would be useful." I kept scrolling and pulled up Phillip first and he wasn't lying, he really was at the café, but it made no sense to me why he talked to Jessa.

"I just wanted to apologize to her about the way Fiona had acted." My face twisted.

"Wait, why was it such a big deal about the way Fiona treated Jessa, to you?" There was a heavy sigh on Phillip's side of the phone.

"Really, man? All those years of being friends and now you're questioning me?" I remained silent and Finni sighed again. "Look, you're always making it a big deal about all of us being family and treating each other right, correct? Well, I see the way you look at Jessa, you care about her more than you care about yourself. I just didn't want her running off because of the way Lucas and Fiona treated her. I mean, we took her from her family, that has to be a lot on her, by itself."

I kinda felt guilty about being so quick to blame my bestfriend, but there's still so little of what I know about the people I live with everyday and I'm not taking any chances. "Well, if you see or hear from Jessa..........will you just.......let me know?"
