The Guy I Met At CVS

Chapter One

"Just came back from the club with Nia. It is 5:27 am. I'm eatin these amazingly delicious flamin' hot cheetos, and I have a story. So you remember the guy I met at CVS a couple of months ago. Here I'll recap real quick if you forgot. So I saw this guy. He works at CVS. His name's Mark. I mean he's cute, in that grungy sorta I-didn't-wanna-go-to-college-now-I'm-stuck-workin-at-CVS-for-the-rest-of-my-life,-oh-and-I-have-a-limp.-Did-I-mention-I-was-26-years-old? kinda way. Not normally the kind of guy I go for. He's literally shorter than me, but his dark black hair and blue eyes make up for that. He's kind of shy too. I mean I'm shy but he definitely takes the cake. I had to walk up to him and I gave him my number. I made a complete ass of myself, and totes feels like he rejected me. Now I'm back home from school for the summer and he wants me to give him a second chance. I don't know about that. He asked Claudia about me. Claudia is my friend who works at CVS too. She told me to go for it and give him another chance, but I think he's gonna have to work for it. Ohh my bad I had two stories lol. Some sketch fest African homeless man tried to flirt with me. He was like ohh you're sooo beautiful. Can I buy that for you? Talking about my Mac N' Cheese. He was like what's your name? I'm like Logan, like the airport. He's like where are you from? I'm like Pasadena. He's like originally where are you from? I give him the "dude you're sketchy as fuck" look before I answer again with Pasadena. He's like I'm from Africa and before he can finish a CVS employee named Chris comes over and freaks the homeless man out and he bolts for the door. Can you say super frickin creepy five times fast. I think not! Until tomorrow my friends. Molly Mall out." 

She said then things went black after turning out the web-cam. Ever since Molly saw the Katy Perry Movie she's decided to document her life daily or if she remembers to, just in case she gets famous. She turned out her light then went to bed.

She and Nia slept almost the entire day, to be woken up by their parents because they had to attend a graduation. They took their time getting dressed because they knew there was going to be around 400 kids in the graduating class and ended up missing the entire graduation.

Nia had gone home a few days ago and now Molly walked into CVS to buy some candy as she always did on her walks. She didn't know Mark's schedule but he was never there when she went in on Wednesdays so she thought she was safe until she turned up the candy aisle and there he was restocking the mike n' ikes and swedish fish. The exact candy that she came to grab. 

"Hey" he said making eye contact with her and smiling after the awkward silence and seemingly long period of just starign at each other. He thought he would give it a go. Though as soon as he opened his mouth she turned around and started to walk out causing him to drop what he was doing and follow her. He ran to cut her off and stand in front of her but she went around him.

"Molly!" he said adamantly grabbing her hand to stop her. She whipped around to face him with an unreadable expression on her face but he could tell it wasn't a pleasant one and it was meant for him.

He smiled. When he saw her glaring at his hand still holding hers he squeezed her hand then spoke

"Molly I'm sorry for being an ass. When you asked meout a couple of months back I was stupid about it. I mean you're hot and you have things going for you. You're in college in another state why would you need to get involved with a loser like me. From the moment I saw you I wanted you but I knew there was no chance in hell I was gonna come up to you. I didn't even think you would notice a guy like me; so when Claudia gave me that note from you I was excited and embarrassed. I acted like an idiot twice, by not texting you and by lying to you when I said I would text. I know what I did was unforgiveable but I'd really like a second chance. I understand if you don't want to but here-" he put in her hand a piece of paper "It has my number on it. I'll be waiting. Take as long as you need." he finished finally releasing her hand and as soon as he did she turned around and started walking right on walking away without answering him. 

He watched her walk away. He hoped for the best but if there was any indication that it would be a while then he would wait. He walked back inside and went back to work, thinking about her the rest of the day.

Molly waited until he was no longer within seeing distance when she looked down into her hand and saw the note. She was giddy. She practically ran home and launched herself on her bed causing everyth8ing includign her laptop to fly up into the air which she grabbed midair and opened. 

She turned on her webcam

"Whadduppppppp. Who's bad? I believe it is me. So I'm walking today after my run and I stop by CVS, f my life, Mark's there. I immediately run out and he follows me. I soo wasn't expecting that. He said a lot of things. HE GAVE ME HIS NUMBER! Yup. He wants me!" she said rapidly withouut a breath in between and giggled then continued "He said I could take as long as I needed to call him so I think I just might. How can I be sure though? About him ya know. I mean it was just the one time. I mean if I go into CVS for a week and each time he sees me he says something then I know he's being serious. I really don't wanna waste my time because I could be hangin out with tons of random boys who I will never see again after the summer is over. I don't wanna start liking him and dating him only to have him say "You're going back to school soon, maybe this wasn't such a good idea." Wtf man! If you're in with me, you gotta be all in. Things you can't control like long distance, you just have to work through and we haven't even started dating so why would that even come into conversation. Only think about things when they're getting close. My god! I looked like crap. I just looked in the mirror and my hair is a frizzy mess. Greaaaaaaaaat! I can't believe he talked to me. I look like shit! Remind me to never ever ever ever ever again. My god it looks like I don't know what a brush is. I'm on that cavelady status. Yooooo and I probably smelled rank. I am gonna look soo bangin' next time I go in there. Well I'm peacin out liike a cub scout cause I have to go work. The coffee doesn't make itself at the fine establishment of Starbucks. Molly Mall Out." Again she turned out the cam and quickly ran into the bathroom took a quick shower and dressed and headed to her job two towns over. 

Tomorrow she would begin her trial run with Mark.
