Chapter 6 ¤ Unison Raid

Lucy's P.O.V

Erza came out of our sight as we hurry away from Kardia Cathedral where we passed the first trial and defeated Erza as a result. Her hesitance left us more worried instead of focusing on every moves we should take since one wrong move can be a fatal mistake especially if the team we would encounter would be either Natsu's or Levy. I wouldn't want to hurt Levy just for something like this and Natsu seems to be a tough opponent to beat. He's the happy-go-lucky-like type of person who would endure anything.

We found Master walking around like a child on the street. Just as Mest informed us, we will have to find Master first after the first trial to prove our victory.

"Master!" We called him and hurriedly ran to him annd waved our hands in the air.

He faced us "My children, I see that you passed with no injury nor bruises. Who did you fight?" He asked with his 'kinda like trying to make us laugh' face.

"It was Erza-san." Wendy answered with a sympathetic face, looking down at the other side while writing random things at the sand and dust on the ground.

"Need not to worry." Master said with a grin.

"What were her last words then?" Master asked.

I looked up the sky and tried to remember. I was too focused on worrying about her state that it kinda made me forget tenporarily, I think.

"Should we use the second or third person?" Wendy asked.

"The exact way Erza told you." Master answered.

I remembered her saying the disqualification thing but my instinct says that Master isn't asking for something like that. More like---

"You pass. You defeated me" I paused to prevent Master from misunderstanding.

"Those were the words, right Wendy?" I asked. Wendy smiled and nodded.

"Hmm. Quite unbelievable for Erza to be beaten up by both of you. You even got yourselves safe and sound." Master praised. Maybe he asked us for Erza's last words to us not just to prove our victory but also know if the S-Class Wizard we faced accepts defeat and takes our fight worthy.

"Then, be careful now. I just passed by some teams. Even the cats survived the first trial and are now flying in the sky, looking for opponents they can take down one by one. Impressive isn't it?" Master said. Even I couldn't believe that even cats can rule. That's if they get to survive the second trial. I bet Happy and Carla also have their strategies up their sleeves. Ooops, I remebered. Cats don't have sleeves.

"Enemy spotted!!!" A joyful person shouted. I panicked and looked at everywhere. Master suddenly disappeared and a hand held my shoulder.

"Aaaaaah!" I screamed and jumped over shock. Wendy was alarmed and thrusted the person.

However, her attacked missed. The person seemed to have dodged her attack. Then, running footsteps was heard and a crackling sound of a fire.

"Natsu?!" I shouted and looked at the direction where the footsteps were. Natsu ran to our direction with his hand on fire about to hit us.

I tried to run but my foot hit an uneven ground and tripped. Wendy managed to run away, considering her agility. Natsu's fist aimed directly at my face.

'Phwink' a sound of a shield being attacked suddenly sounded. It was in front of me and prevented Natsu from hitting me and showed countless letters that only Levy and Freed understands.
