People ran around Central City that November morning. Cars honked and sped down the street. Life seemed normal.

Inside CC Jitters, a girl sat in the corner typing away. Her nose was scrunched in concentration and her glasses slipped down her nose every once in a while. Her blonde hair was up in a messy ponytail and her black cardigan was draped over the back of her chair, revealing the white t-shirt and jeans she wore a bit better.

She was so focused in her work she didn't notice someone walk over and place a cup of coffee next to her. The person sat across from her, drinking their own coffee. After a few minutes the person cleared their throat.

"Gen?"

No response

"Genevieve."

Still no response

"Genevieve Alica Snow. I'm talking to you."

Genevieve looked up from her computer and raised an eyebrow, "Caitlin Snow, what?" Caitlin gestured to the, now room temperature, coffee. Gen looked down, snorted, and laughed softly, "Oh, thanks."

Caitlin rolled her eyes and sipped her coffee. "What can you possibly doing that needs every ounce of focus you have?"

"Well if you must know, it's work related," Gen said. She picked up her coffee and took a large gulp, "and that's all I can tell you for right now." She gave her cousin a smirk and closed her laptop.

"Isn't that always the case with you," Caitlin sighed, "is it at least non life threatening? Can you tell me that?"

Gen sat back in her seat and looked back at her cousin with pursed lips, deep in thought.

Caitlin stared back and after a few seconds she slumped in her chair and sighed deeply, "I hate that you work for that stupid law firm. You're going to get yourself killed with the cases they get. Why couldn't of you become a teacher or something."

Gen smiled, "Oh cuz, where's the fun in that?"

Caitlin took another sip of her coffee, "I still don't understand why you're still working there. It doesn't seem like a secure place to work."

"You worry too much Cait," Gen said.

"And you worry too little," Caitlin responded, "you know that job at Star Labs is still available right?"

Gen drank her coffee and nodded, "I realize that, but I'm happy where I am." She reached over and patted her cousin's hand. "Don't you worry your pretty little head about me."

Caitlin studied her cousin's face for a few seconds before a smile formed on her lips. "I don't understand how we are related. Your brother I get, but you...you're crazy."

"And who isn't these days," Gen shrugged and smiled brightly.

Suddenly, Gen's phone buzzed in her pocket. She dug it out quickly and saw it was a text from her co-worker.

She sighed and looked up at Caitlin with an apologetic look."I've got a new case at work."

She slipped on her sweater and picked up her laptop, "I'm going to be late. Give Cisco my love."

Before her cousin could get a word in, Gen walked out into the streets of Central City.

Caitlin shook her head in disbelief, "That girl is absolutely insane."
