Gen couldn't meet their eyes. Thea stared down at her, hurt and confusion swirled in her eyes. Oliver was leaning against the wall, staring at them both. This little reunion wasn't going as planned.

"Thea before you say anything-"

The loud smack seemed to echo throughout the house. The subtle stinging of Gen's cheek couldn't compare with the pure guilt that clawed at her heart. She slowly turned her head back over to Thea, seeing Oliver standing ready behind her in case she tried to throw any punches or, what the hell, pull a knife on her.

"How could you. After all we've been through how could you do that to me. To us."

Gen went to opene her mouth, to give some type of explanation, but Thea held up a finger. She wasn't even close to being done ripping a new one in her.

"I loved you Gen. You were my sister, the one I could turn to in times of troubles. I trusted you," Gen could see the tears that glazed over Thea's eyes.

I trusted you.

Those word wracked around in her head. Her face was neutral, but the words that spilled from Thea's lips were like fatal blows. Each and every word was a stab to the heart.

Gen listened on and on to Thea's emotional speech. All she wanted to do was sink to the floor, yake Thea's hands and beg for forgiveness. Tell her the real reason as to why she left. She wanted things to be right with the Queen family.

She wanted to be sixteen again, naive and daring. She wanted to be out partying with Oliver, playing dressup with a younger Thea, and not think of the future or the past. Only the present.

But she couldn't, these wounds might never heal correctly. Gen might be hated by The Queens forever and wander the earth as a ghost, fulfilling her duties as an assassin. She looked into Thea's light colored eyes and the only thing that she could utter was a simple,

"I'm sorry."

Thea scoffed, "Unbelievable..." She turned her back to Gen and stormed out of the room, leaving Gen to watch her retreating figure.

Gen ran a hand over her face in exhaustion and lowered her gaze. A soft sigh escaped her lips as a million thoughts ran through her head.

"Gen..."

The soft tone of Oliver's voice caused her to look up in suprise. She saw the pure emotion that swirled around in his eyes. His bright, beautiful eyes. All of a sudden, it was as if the wall that was holding back all the pain and all the regret slowly began to break within her heart. She felt a lump form in her throat and tears blurred her vision.

"Olly, I...You have to understand hurting everyone was never my intention. I..."

Suddenly she was embraced in a warm, protective hug. Feeling his large body against hers, his arms holding her tight, felt like everything was okay for her. Nothing could get her as long as she was in his arms.

One tear after another fell from her eyes, until a small sob escaped her lips. She hugged her arms to her chest, lightly grasping the front of Oliver's shirt. She closed her eyes and buried herself deeper into his protective embrace.

Oliver felt a bit of gulit tug at his own scarred heart. No matter how much he tried to convince himself, he couldn't truly hate Gen.

"Gen it's...okay...shhh it's alright," He gently held her head and planted a kiss on top of her head.

All the regrets and every single other thought and feelings came rushing back. So much for being a bad ass assassin without a soul.

Maybe she was losing her touch. Maybe she was losing her mind.
Maybe she just reached her breaking point.

Whatever it may be, she was glad she wasn't alone. God, she had been alone for so long, even back in Central City.

In that moment Gen knew, she knew what she had to do. Pulling away from Oliver, she wiped away her tears and took a step back. She felt her hands shake and it was hard to think clearly.

"Ollie, I uh...I need to tell you something..."
