Gen pulled her sweater tighter around her as a gust of wind blew past her. "It's way too cold. It's only the beginning of November," she thought. Her heeled boots clicked as she quickly walked down the sidewalk.

Gen thought back to Caitlin, Cisco, and Barry. She chuckled to herself and shook her head and thought, "The fact that they think I'm just some silly lawyer is just..." Her smile faltered a bit. Yes, it might be annoying that they don't realize what she is truly capable of, but lying to them has proven to become a bit complicated lately, especially with Barry. That man can see straight through her .

Honestly, just the thought of him made her heart flutter in her chest.

Despite her feelings, she knew her and Barry could never be together. Not in her line of work. If any of them found about what she does not only will they never want to talk to her again, but they will also be in serious danger.

She made her way towards a small building on the corner, only a few blocks away from Jitters, and made her way inside. To a normal citizen of Central City it looks like a normal law firm, but in reality it's a small covert facility. Only a handful of people in Central City know of its true nature.

She walked up the steps and pushed through the glass doors. The warm air hit her and she sighed in relief. She walked past a couple of desks, holding other "law firm" workers. She pushed through another set of doors and walked to a large wooden desk sitting next to a large wooden door. She placed her laptop down and took a seat.

The wooden door opened and a tall woman with porcelain skin and curly blonde hair walked out, files in hand. She looked at Gen, giving her a genuine smile. "Good morning Gen, got some files for you to fill out and approve," the woman said in her British accent.

Gen looked up at the woman and smiled, "Thanks Delilah, is Crosby in yet?" Delilah shook her head and sighed, "No, he isn't going to be in for the rest of the week. He got called into HQ."

Gen slightly cringed, "Oh, do you know why?" Delilah shook her head again and leaned against the desk, "It might be a new target."

Gen sat back in her chair, crossing her arms over her chest, "This one must be important if Crosby got called into HQ."

Delilah shrugged, "Well, while he's gone you and Valdez were put in charge." A small smirk pulled at the corners of her lips.

Gen scoffed and rolled her eyes, "Valdez? Whose bright idea was that?"

"I don't know but here comes the bloody devil now." Delilah gestured with her chin towards the glass door.

A tall, broading man in a black suit and tie with his raven colored hair styled to perfection and his chizled face clean shaven. You can say Valdez was a total babe.

"Good morning Delilah," he smiled and nodded to her, then he looked at Gen," Genevieve," his expression was hard.

Gen smirked, "Always a pleasure Valdez." He rolled his eyes and walked through the wooden door. Gen rolled her eyes and Delilah giggled. "How can one man annoy someone so much."

Delilah smiled and pushed herself off the desk, "I'm not so sure, but I've got to get back to work."

She watched Delilah walk through the wooden door and laughed. Her job sure exposed her to interesting people.

She pulled her files closer to her on the desk and got to work.

It was 5:45 and she was supposed to meet Barry at the CCPD in 15 minutes

She was nowhere near done with the files Delilah gave her and she was getting frustrated. Delilah had been called to Starling City and everyone else had either gone home or gone to look into a case. The files she was dealing with was about the particle excellerator explosion about a year ago.

Sure, Gen thought this was such a pointless case, but apparently certain people were affected by the dark matter that was released by the explosion. Especially a certain scarlet speedster.

The government thought he was dangerous. "Of course they thought he was dangerous. The guy can run over 300 mph," she thought. They were planning on capturing him. Most likely they were going to call her in to get the job done, but something just seemed familiar about him. She couldn't really put her finger on it.

Her phone rang from inside her purse and she quickly dug it out. She saw Barry's name flash on the screen and she pressed the green button. "Hello?"

She heard a bit of shuffling from the other end than Barry's energetic voice, "Hey Gen, you almost here?"

She glanced at the clock and saw it read 5:56. She groaned and slammed her computer shut. "Oh god, I'm so sorry Barry I lost track of time. I just got this new case and-" a couple of folders slid off the desk and the papers scattered across the floor. "Damnit!" She dropped to the ground and quickly began picking up the papers. "Barry I will be there in a few minutes I promise."

She heard Barry chuckle on the other line, "Gen, I can come and pick you up. We can just leave from there."

"No!" Gen shot up off the ground, her eyes wide, "I mean- that's alright Barry I'm leaving now." She cleared her throat and smiled, as if she would be able to convince him with just that.

"Well, if you say so. See you in a bit." He said. With that, she hung up and continued to quickly clean up the papers scattered everywhere.

After dropping another folder and hitting her head under the desk twice, she finally cleaned up her area and locked up the case files. She grabbed her sweater and ran out. Through voice recognition, finger and retna scan, and a PIN code she locked up the facility and ran down the sidewalk towards the CCPD.

Well, I hope this chapter gave you a brief understanding of who she works for and such. I kind of want to lay the foundation down for the story before I get to the crazy parts so bare with me for at least one more chapter.

Thanks for reading guys!
