Gen took a step out into the crisp air of Central City and took a deep breath.

"I never thought I'd be this happy to be outside." She sighed and glanced at Barry, "and thanks again for picking me up."

He chuckled and repositioned the strap of her bag on his shoulder, "No need to thank me Gen. You know I'd do anything for you."

"Yeah, whatever." She smiled and turned her head away from him to hide the rising blush on her cheeks.

They were walking down the sidewalk toward Barry's car, "I heard your car got messed up during the accident."

She tensed up a bit and nodded, "Yeah, it's getting fixed though."

"That's good," he nodded, "but even if you did have it you still can't drive."

She groaned and shook her head, "Thanks for rubbing that in my face."

Barry laughed, causing her heart to flutter in her chest.

They made it to the car and Barry opened the door for her, causing her to smile and roll her eyes.

She sat down and strapped herself in. Barry jogged to the other side and climbed in. She tried moving the seatbelt around the sling, but it kept moving back over it.

She huffed in frustration and gave up. "I'm over this," she muttered.

Barry chuckled and started the car. The car hummed to life and in seconds they were off, towards her apartment.

She watched people and stores fly by out the window. She leaned her head back and softly sighed.

She saw a couple walking hand in hand and smiled. From the few seconds she glanced at them, they looked happy.

Her smile soon slowly faded. She wished she could have that. Especially with Barry.

But that couldn't happen. He didn't like her. She's seen the way he'd look at Iris.

And even if he did have feelings for her, she couldn't be with him. With what she does and the amount of enemies she has, she could put him in serious risk.

She's already doing that by still having a relationship with everyone. Olympian, the organization she works for, gave her a choice a while ago to cut everyone off.

But she said no. It was right after her brother went MIA on tour over in Iraq, Ronnie was killed by the particle excellerator explosion, and Barry went into his 9 month coma.

She couldn't leave everyone to grieve by themselves. She sure as hell couldn't grieve on her own.

And now people are after her, and a million things could go wrong.

What if they miss her and shoot Barry or Cailin or whoever she's with.

What if they die protecting her from a shower of bullets or an explosion. She knows they would do something like that.

Suddenly she felt something warm lay on top of her hand and gkanced down to see Barry's hand holding her's.

"It's going to be okay Gen. Don't worry." He said. He gave her a reassuring smile and her hand a gentle squeeze.

"I know," she lied, "I'm not worried Bar. Don't worry about me."

He glanced at her a few more times, before he sighed and nodded.

His hand was still holding her's, but she didn't mind. Her thoughts slowly traveled back to where they were before.

Gen lived on Monroe ave. just a few blocks away from the firm, and when they missed the turn ahe noticed.

"Um Barry? My apartment is that way." She gestured behind them.

She turned to look at him and saw slight guilt was written all over his face. "Well...."

"Barry Allen turn this car around right now." She demanded.

"You won't be staying at your apartment. You'll be staying with me, Joe, and Iris."

"Um no? I'm staying at my apartmemt." Her eyebrow rose in confusion.

He chuckled, which only made her a little more pissed off. "It's only until you get your arm out that sling and you can go back to your regular routine."

She huffed, "Barry Allen."

"Genevieve Snow."

"Take me home. This is a horrible idea. I can take care of myself."

"Well, Delilah your co-worker doesn't seem to think so." He added.

Gen looked away from Barry and thought about that.

If Delilah didn't want her staying at her apartment, then maybe they found her address. They could be waiting there right now.

With another huff she muttered, "Fine."

Barry glanced over at her and laughed. Gen looked at him and glared, "What's so funny?"

"You're so cute when you pout." He laughed again.

"Fight me." She rolled her eyes and looked back out the window.
