I

t was a rough time for Team Flash. Harrison Wells' secret is out in the open, and it seemed their hope for stopping him was dwindling.

Despite the team's success with capturing the man in yellow, the air seemed thick. Emotions high.

Barry walked back into the corridor, a grim expression etched on to his face. He went to talk to Dr. Wells, but it seemed all he accomplished was create more questions for himself.

He ran a hand through his short brown locks and sighed, his shoulders sagged in what seemed like defeat. They might have captured DR. Wells, saved Eddie Thawne from his grasp, and stopped what other plans he had in mind, but Barry couldn't seem to shake one thing. Well, more like someone.

Caitlin and Cisco watched the scarlet speedster walk through the Cortex and out into the hall, heading for the elevator. Not a word left his lips. He didn't need to say anything to the duo, since they heard the whole conversation between the two speedsters.

A few moments ago:

Barry stood with his arms crossed across his chest, his eyes full of rage and pain. Dr. Wells looked back at him from his small, glass door cell. Though, his expression didn't match Barry's. It was a look of satisfaction, as if he knew something Barry didn't. The faintest smirk danced on his lips.

"Wow, two visits in one day. Either you're finally warming up to me or something is wrong," Dr. Wells placed his hands on both sides of the glass door, leaning forward.

Barry sneered and took a step closer to him, "You're delusional if you think I will ever forgive you for what you've done not only to me, but the rest of us."

Dr. Wells pushed off the door and shrugged lightly, "Then what do you want?"

Barry stayed quiet for a moment, studying the monster of a man standing before him. "Genevieve, did you-"

"Kill her? No, she hasn't fulfilled her purpose to me yet. Although, maybe I'll just kill her. Hurting you in any way is always a plus for me."

Barry felt his blood boil, his fists clenched. "You'll never lay a finger on her. Not as long as I'm around."  He then turned around and paced back away from Dr. Wells, "Besides, what makes you think you're ever leaving that cell."

"Oh trust me Barry, I'm sure i'll step foot out of this cell soon enough. In fact, you'll be the one to let me out."

Barry rolled his eyes and turned back around. Seeing that sly smirk on his face made Barry want to scream. The fact that this man knew more than him, things he probably shouldn't even know, made his skin crawl.

"Can you tell me where she is?" Barry kept his tone calm, although his heart began racing.

"Ms. Snow is alive I can tell you that, but I'm not quite sure for how long."

Barry immediately stepped towards the cell, "What do you mean?"

"Well Barry, Genevieve has been lying to you this entire time," Dr. Wells paced in his cell, "she is not the person you believe her to be."

"What do you mean? Gen wouldn't lie to me about anything."

"I beg to differ Barry, Ms. Snow is infact the master of trickery," he stopped pacing and faced Barry, "Although it might be satisfying to see the defeated and hurt look on your face, I think it'd be best if you ask her yourself."

Once again, Barry was confused. Gen had been gone the past few months. She disconnected all her phones, she left no known address, and she even made him lie about why she truly left. There was no contacting her anytime soon.

"I'm done playing games Wells, tell me whatever you know about Gen." Although, deep down he was dreading his answer.

Dr. Wells stayed quiet, his gaze traveling behind Barry and back over to him. "Again, why don't you ask her yourself."

It seemed like the world around Barry slowed down, which was ironic for a man like him. His gaze left Dr. Wells as he slowly turned around. Looking down at the end of the hallway, he saw the last person he ever expected to see.

His blood ran cold and he felt his heart skip a beat. His eyes grew wide as he took small steps foward.

"Hello Barry...long time no see..." Genevieve said softly.
