This is a long update! Thanks to everyone who's reading

October

I slowly became aware of my pounding head and the stiffness in my neck as I fought to regain consciousness. I couldn't even trick myself into believing that I was safe in my own bed this time. I was sprawled across the bed with my arm twisted behind me in a weird position, and it hurt like hell. I pulled it out and bent it back and forth a few times trying to make the pain go away. I looked around the room blinking, trying to focus my eyes. The room was in complete darkness again. I slowly began to recall the scene that had occurred just before Roger stuck the needle in my stomach. I rubbed the spot of the injection. It still hurt. Fucker.

"Frank?" I called out in the darkness.

"Nobody here but me, sweetie," A voice whispered from somewhere to my right.

I jumped straight off the bed and backed away. "Who's there?"

"It's me, October." Eddie walked closer to me until his features became clear.

"Where's Frank?"

"He's gone."

"What do you mean, he's gone?"

"He left. We let him go. It's all over the news, and Dad decided that it wasn't worth it anymore. We don't want to go to prison or anything, we just wanted to have some fun."

"FUN?" I shrieked. "This cannot be your idea of fun"

"Shut the hell up! My Dad's upstairs, and he doesn't know that I'm down here waiting for you to wake up. See, he wasn't so sure we should let you go. He thought you might go blab to the police."

"But he didn't think Frank would?"

"No, Frank promised not to."

I couldn't help but feel completely dejected and hurt. "So he just left without me? Why would he do that?"

Eddie shrugged. "I don't know. If you think he gives a shit about you or something, you're wrong. That boy didn't even look twice at you before he ran the hell out."

"So... I have to promise not to tell or something? Then I can go too?"

Eddie nodded. "Pretty much. But you must be sincere. Dad will know if you're lying. And if you lie, you die."

"What?" I squeaked.

"Yep. If he thinks you're lying, he's going to kill you on the spot."

"O... okay." My voice was shaky. "Can we go talk to him, then?"

"Yep, right up here," He said, leading me to the doorway.

We walked out of the door and to the stairs on the left. I thought I was going to piss myself I was so nervous. What if he thought I was lying? There was suddenly a loud crash coming from behind us, from that room. I stopped in the middle of the staircase and looked down. "What was that?"

"Nothing," Eddie said quickly, trying to pull me up the stairs. "We better hurry up and get this over with. When I didn't move, he yelled, "Get the hell up here!"

"Seriously Eddie, what is going on?" I studied the door to the room before taking a couple of steps back toward it. "I thought you said we were the only ones in there."

"We were. It was probably just the house settling or something. Come on."

There was a quieter, muffled sound coming from the room now. "What the hell?" I headed back to the room.

"I'm warning you, October, if you go back in there I'm locking you in and fucking leaving you there."

His threat must not have sunk in or something, because I walked back into the room and began fumbling around the walls for the light switch.
