Chapter Thirty One: Good-Bye

     "ZACH! Oh my goodness, thank god you're alive.," Sheryl shared in excitement.

"Zach,  oh my god?" Archie ran towards him and tried to get the chains off of him but was unable to do so because of the lock.

"Stand back," Sheryl insisted. She pulled her gun out of her holster and aimed for the chains. The second she fired her gun Zach fell into a puddle of his own blood.

"Archie, where's Mariam?" Zach asked as he began roughly coughing. "Mariam is fine, don't worry about her, right now you have to worry about yourself. We need to get you to the hospital," Archie responded.

"How did you guys know I was here?" Zach asked as they carried him up and held his arms over their shoulders and walked out.

"I knew Jamal had to be the reason for your disappearance so I started watching Aziz's every move knowing he would lead me to Jamal,"

"He had me locked up in here for months and during every single second all I could think about is being with Mariam. I need to see her as soon as possible,"

"Zach you need to go to the hospital first, you're in a very bad condition and you need urgent hospital care," Sheryl insisted while forcing him into an ambulance.

As the ambulance finally arrived to the hospital, they carried Zach inside for emergency care. Little did he know, Mariam was in the room next-door.

"What's going on?" a nurse asked the doctor. "Seems like contractions, she's going into labor. Get the operation room ready, the baby will be born prematurely." The doctor pointed out after examining Mariam.

"Yes doctor," the nurse agreed.

"Is everything okay?" Manal asked the nurse as she walked out. "Yes, she's fine but she is going to have a c-section." The nurse explained while walking away.

"As much as I hate you I don't want anyone else getting hurt," Manal calmly said to herself.

"Manal? Is that you?" Archie appeared out of the blue.

"Archie?" She turned around. "What are you doing here?"

"You won't believe this but Zach is alive. He's here right now being treated," he explained.

"Wait, what? Zachary Spencer? The actual Zach, alive?" She asked in shock.

"Yes, we found him today. We've been searching for him for months now," he sighed in relief. "Where was he?" She asked. "Jamal was behind it all,"

"Oh, sorry to hear that," she shook her head. "Yea, me too,"

"So what brings you here?" Archie confronted.

"Mariam just went into labor, she's having a c-section," she confessed.

"Wait, labor? Mariam's pregnant? How can that be? Wasn't she in a huge accident that made her paralyzed?" He asked in full confusion.

"It was honestly a miracle," she explained.

"Oh shit, Zach is going to totally freak out. Isn't it amazing how he got both his freedom and a child on the same day?" Archie smiled.
