i recently uploaded a prologue for a new jack gilinsky story i'm working on. it would mean a lot if you guys could go check it out!

'in which two once in head-over heels in love couple has to face the reality of the not-so-perfect reality, and choose if their relationship is worth it or not' - this basically summarizes the story

if you like this book, i think you'll like that one as well, because it's as emotions are the same. this story deals with a broken person, and that story deals with a broken relationship. i think it'll be fun to explore the side of relationships that isn't pretty, and mainly focus on that. most books on here explore the whole relationship and a happy ending. it'll be different.

btw heather is played by acacia brinley

chapter fifteen - july 10

"i knew i'd find you here," jack said when he entered the cave. "if i didn't know any better, i'd say you were avoiding me. are you avoiding me?"

in all truth, she hadn't been avoiding him. sure, she hadn't seen him in about three days, but that wasn't necessarily her fault. the doctors made her stay at the hospital for an extra day to check up on her, even when she insisted that she was doing absolutely fine. when she came home after two days of not being home, her dad was livid.

--

"the little slüt finally came home. doing the walk of shame now, aren't you? about time, honestly. since you're a disgrace and all," her father greeted her when she walked into the house. he was propped on the couch with a beer in his hands. he took a slow sip out of the bottle, before standing up. she watched his every move carefully, so she wouldn't be caught stricken at his blows.

"look, i don't care about you and your prostitute ways. you could ride as many guys as you want, get hiv, std, aids, and all that other junk," he grabbed her face roughly and slapped her, "but don't you dare keep me waiting. i don't give a fück if you're in the middle of blowing some dude, you better get home and make me food," he said. alaska shook at her father's cruel and disgusting words.

"i was in the hospital," she told him.

"don't tell me you're pregnant now," he said, eyeing her stomach. he placed his hands over her stomach, and roughly pushed on it. "we don't need another mistake."

she quickly took a step away from him, looking at him with horrible eyes. she couldn't believe he'd think so lowly of her. she couldn't believe he'd actually dare to put a hand on her unborn child - if she had one. she couldn't believe he'd call him/her a mistake when they didn't do anything wrong. children were innocent, but it was clear that he wasn't. it seemed like everyday she was reminded of the monster her father truly was.

"you're not allowed out of this house for two days," he ordered her. "you think you can just escape me for two days without any punishment?" he had on a conniving smile. "you thought wrong." with that, he delivered a harsh blow to her stomach. "now go make me lunch."

-

following that, he had beaten her up many times within the span of the two short - but rather long - days. in the past, he seemed to be very careful as to where he hit her, because he was smarter than that. he wouldn't want anyone to see how he was hurting his  'precious' daughter. although now, it didn't seem like he cared. he took a hit at her any chance he got, at any place he saw fit.

as jack neared closer and closer to her, his eyes widened in horror. "what happened?" he choked out.

oh, and she ran out of money to buy make-up to attempt to cover up the mess she referred to as her face. she really needed to find a new secret place, because she's always found content in just running away to just forget about her life for a few hours. she loved to just sit at her place, but now this place seemed to be compromised. she's more worried now than ever, because she didn't know what lie to conjure up to steer him off her trail.
