heeeey!!! so i decided that in this story, i would be the narrator, so like a third person pov kind of thing. for this story, i would like you guys to see how each character is, so that you would be able to see the person's changes throughout the whole story. i think that this would kind of move fast, only because that is how the girl in this story is. not saying she's a slut, but you'll find out. this story will still be realistic, so don't worry about this story being really unlike with others. it may have some parts where it's super cliche, but i promise this story will be different. this story will show a girl's and guy's side of relationships, and i think it'd be pretty interesting. i'm excited so here we are.

p.s. i don't know exactly why i decided for this story should be in lowercase, but if you guys have a problem with it, tell me and i might think it over.

chapter one - june 08

It's summer, the time of the year everyone looks forward to, right? I mean who doesn't just love to stay at home all day with the occasional going out to hang with friends, without having to do any schoolwork. You could just basically sleep in all day, and then watch Netflix. No stress, no worries, just fun. I mean that's how people describe summer, so that's how it's supposed to be like, right?

Wrong.

At least, that's not the case for Alaska Miller.

Unlike most teenagers, especially at the age where she's spending her last summer before college, she doesn't want a break. A break would mean more time a home, and again unlike most teenagers, she doesn't appreciate it.

Spending more time then she usually does at home would just mean more beatings. It would just mean more possibilities to run into her father, and that never runs over well. She doesn't even have any friends she could possibly hang out with, because no one seemed to give her the time of day.

As she thought about this in her cave, she groaned out loud. "I hate this," she mumbled to herself, because who else would listen to her?

"You hate what?" A boy suddenly asked, right after he popped out of nowhere, scaring the living daylights right out of her.

The boy with perfect dirty blonde hair that was usually in some sort of quiff, but since he had just been surfing - she could tell by the water dripping from his hair and well everywhere else - his hair had flopped down on his forehead.

This boy is none other than the Jack Johnson, and although he may be nothing to most people around the world, he is everything in Omaha, Nebraska. He is the it boy here, especially in high school where everyone worshiped the ground he walked on.

Of course, Alaska never talked to him, or anyone for that matter. However, you didn't need to talk to the Jack Johnson to know much about him. He was like an open book, not afraid to put everything out there, meaning everything.

If you were to pick out the polar opposite of Alaska Miller, you would find Jack Johnson perfect for that spot. He is perfect for everything, after all.

Even though he parties a lot and is known for flirting with a bunch of girls, he's also known for being a sweetheart. Meaning, he won't ever steal a guy's girl intentionally and is occasionally nice to people, but that's about it. He sleeps with whoever offers herself to him, which - not going to lie - is basically every girl who has been hit with his charm.

"You don't talk much doing you?" Jack asked, climbing into her cave, not even asking if she minded or not.

Truth be told, it did bother Alaska. It bothered her a lot actually because she really needed some time to herself. As much as she didn't appreciate him ruining her peaceful time, she's too shy to say anything.
