Chapter 25
"No, nothing is wrong with him... " Sophia started but she was interrupted by a very alive and breathing Cameron who magically appeared beside her.
"Where were you? I was looking for you." He told casually.
"I was... " I said but I was still in shock. "I'm sorry, but you scared me, Sophia. I thought something happened to him."
They both shamelessly laughed and I ran a hand through my untamed hair. Cameron reassured me, "No, I'm fine!"
"Yeah, I can see."
"Come on up. We were calling you so we could eat." He explained and his hand guided my back to the upstairs lounge.
Surprisingly, Cameron grabbed my hand in his and we followed Sophia to the lounge. I was constantly staring at him with a grin on my face, I thought he wasn't speaking to me. What's with the sudden hand holding?
He didn't look back at me although he was well aware of my stare. When we were upstairs and a few meters away from our table, suddenly, he turned to me with a smile.
"Why are you smiling?" I asked and instantly smiled as he's smile had always been contagious.
He came in front of me and wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me closer to him. "Why are you smiling?" He whispers, his tangy breath running over my mouth.
"I don't know, I thought you were mad at me. What are you, bipolar?" I joked and he pulled me even closer to his face, until our noses touch.
The red light of the ceiling shines on his face and he looks so beautiful when he smirks. I was breathless for a moment, staring into his playful eyes and feeling myself leaning into him.
"I can't stay mad at you, you know that." He speaks, his lips moving effortlessly. They looked so inviting and soft I couldn't help but gaze at them.
He leaned and caught me in his lips. God, I had missed his kisses. He moves them passionately on mine and I let myself lose into him. His hands moved sensually on my lower back and I could feel the heat of his fingers through my sheer top when he gently pinched my skin.
I moved my head a little and he pressed even more. One of his palm caressed my cheek ever so slightly and I was smiling and jumping internally. I didn't know why he was becoming so romantic but I liked it.
Until, he pulled away and I frowned that he had distanced himself. He gave me a smile and grabbed my hand dragging me to our table. In our kiss, I had forgot for a second our purpose of coming to this lounge. That was the kind of spell he had gripped me in and I didn't want to come out of it.
"Oooh, good work, bro." Kai encouraged Cameron for our make out session and they fist bumped.
Every one had witnessed it and I felt a little shy. "That was steamy." Ava complimented narrowing her eyes at me.
We sat and we were the centre of attention for a while before the food came. We ate expensive burgers that tasted worse than McDonalds. I was having a good time as Cameron kept entertaining me.
As everyone was busy talking about bands, he whispered in my ear, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have over-reacted."
"I'm sorry too. I should've been with you when you were having a headache." I whispered back.
"Well, you were enjoying yourself. I can't stop you."
"But, I should've been there for you." The more I thought, the more guilty I felt.
"You're here now." He kissed the side of my cheek in reassurance.
A fork with pasta hanging on it came close to my mouth. I looked up at him, he was smiling at me and holding the fork at my mouth.
