"So, I met the guy who lives next door."
"Yeah, what's his story?" I stretch out beneath a maple tree, pointing the toes of my ankle boots to the cloudy sky.
"He's an engineering student, he seems pretty chill."
"Cool."
"Have you seen Sierra? Or Abby, yet?"
"Yeah, we all went for pizza. It was...okay."
"How's Milo?"
"Unimpressed with you."
"I guess you two should hang out, then."
I giggle, then stop myself. "Mm...you know I support your choice, Cam. It's just...hard."
"I know, its hard for me too. But I will be visiting you, and you can visit me too."
"But its not the same as living minutes away from you and your smoothies."
"I'm trying."
"I know...so, how's Klose?"
"He definitely misses you."
"Yes! I knew he secretly loved me!"
"Well, Katherine dear, it's pretty hard not to."
"I love you too."
"So tell me about Abby and Gabriel, are they still all honeymoon-y?"
"I think so. And she's looking good, I don't think she's relapsed or anything for a while."
"That's amazing, her recovery is unreal."
"Yeah...she's cool."
"Have you met any cool freshmen?"
"Eh, they're all kinda drunk and nervous."
"Ugh, I have to get to class. I love you."
"I love you too, Cam."
"..."
"..."
"It's so hard to say goodbye to you."
