"We could've said we were married," Ellis says, leaning against the Big Brothers, Big Sisters building.
"We should've." I'm disappointed; I'm not sure why I didn't want to do it solo, I just didn't. I didn't want to be alone, period.
"But we are pretty young."
"Whatever." I wrangle jacket around my shoulders and we start walking to Starbucks. He wraps an arm around my shoulders and gives me a squeeze.
"Sorry this didn't work out."
"It's okay." I hug his arm that's hanging over my chest, and we lean into each other companionably.
I miss Cam already.
