"He's so cute, oh my gosh," Ellis says with a lovely sort of glee. He cradles the a pint of chocolate hazelnut Häagen-Dazs against his chest smiles happily.
"His voice is cuter," I reply, and he grins in agreement. I smile for his benefit.
"And he's passionate about human rights. Haawt." There's a certain freedom in the way he speaks, and a touch of relief. "I need more movies about cute boys ending slavery in England."
"Agreed." I scroll through Cam's messages again: apologies, explanations of being busy, random facts hoping to draw me out.
"Woah, who's that? Is that Malfoy? That's totally Draco. Ten-out-of-ten he'll be an asshole, I can feel it." There's a knock on the door and he looks up with a perplexed head tilt. His roommate never knocks - ever. "Uh, come in?"
I would recognize the boy who opens the door anywhere, but probably easiest if he had been siting atop a swing set like he was in the picture.
His hair is auburn and he's tall but in a broader way than Ellis. He smiles bashfully, swinging his overnight bag back and forth. "Hey... Ellis."
Ellis is speechless and drops his ice cream spoon on the white comforter.
