--- Jimmy's POV ---

The ride home was rather silent after Greg and I stopped talking. Grandma would ask us what we want for dinner, and Grandpa would remind her that she's asked us that question already. But besides that... silence...
Once we got home, Grandpa showed me to our room. I say pur because Gregory and I have to share a room while we're here. We always have. It looked the same as it did last time. Except for one difference. Gregory's bed. It was a mess. He usually likes to make it look nice. To impress mom. But this time, the blankets were bunched up in the bed, the pillow was on the floor, as was the comforter. The only thing that seemed to be in place was his dinosaur plush which was at the head of the bed. "What's with the bed?" He looked at me and then to his bed. "Oh, uh... I fell out of bed..."
"And you didn't fix it?"
"Nope..."
"How come?" He shrugged. "Mama will be upset that you didn't fix it." He looked down then grabbed his dino and walked out of the room. "Well then..." I guess he doesn't care. But I do. I fixed his bed for him, not expecting a thank you.

--- Gregory's POV ---

I wanna tell him... I want to tell him why I'm upset. Really, I do... but if I do.. what happens then? It'll be just like at home. Jimmy will feel that he needs to 'protect' me and he'll start getting in fights with my grandparents... just like with mom... and mom ended up de--..... I gasped and hugged my dino in disbelief of what I just thought of. I can't believe I'd even think that! There's no way that's what happened! No, it isn't possible. He hated her, but not that much... he'd never kill mama... I shook my head and brushed the thought aside. There's no way...

--- Jimmy's POV----

Gregory didn't come back so I decided to go find him. Something was bothering him and I was going to find out what. I looked around for abit then found him outside in our 'secret hideout'. It was just an opening in the pine trees in the backward, but to us, it was a house. A place where we'd go to hide from the grownups. And apparently, to hide from eachother too. I knocked on the tree branch before I entered. "Hey, bud." He looked up at me then looked away. "What's wrong?" He didn't answer. "Gregory... tell me..." he shooked his head. "Why not?" Hr mumbled something that I assume was along the lines of ' pi don't want to.' I signed and sat next to him. "..... is it something I did?" He shook his head again. "Is it something someone else did?" He hesitated then lightly shook his head. "What happened? What'd the person do? Or, who was it?"
"Nobody, Jimmy..!"
"C'mon, Greg, you know that's not true. Tell me who upset you."
"But you'll get mad!"
"No, I won't."
"Promise..?"
"You bet!"
"Okay... it was Grandma and Grandpa..."
"What?? What'd they do...?"
"I told you, they lied to me."
"About what?"
"About mama!"
"What'd they say?"
"......"
"Well?"
".... They said that... that she was... dead..."
