--- Jimmy's POV ---Dinner was nice. We just had some chicken nuggets for dinner, but that was fine. Atleast they were edible. Once we were done eating, Katrina and I went to my room to play with some legos, since I was a boring kid and I had no video games. We played a fun game of cops and robbers in there. Heh, that was fun! I played as the robber and she was the cop. I won, of course! I, uh... I accidentally decapitated her Lego man... by crushing it under a toy car... still not sure how that made the head come off but.. yeah, that happened! Then we just sat and ate some cookies the my grandmother brought us.
"Thanks again for letting me come over, Jimmy. It really means alot." I smiled and looked at her, "No problem, Katrina! Thanks for coming! You have no idea how long it's been since I've had someone to play with.." She smirked, "Lemme guess... years?" "More like months... seven months, I think... I kinda lost track.." She laughed, "Wait, wait, hold on. You kept track of how long it's been since you've played with someone?!" "..... Yeah, sorta...." "Oh wow! Haha, I've never heard that before!!" I looked down and sighed. I know she doesn't know but... it still hurts that she's laughing. It's like she's laughing about Gregory's death.. "Jimmy? Jimmy, what's wrong...?" She finally noticed that she was upsetting me, I guess. "N-Nothing..." I felt her hand on my back, making me flinch. "You're lying, Jimmy. I don't like liars. What's wrong? Was it something I said?" Oh gosh... how is it that girls always know when you're lying?! Mom and Grandma knew, and now her too?? "No, just.... y-you just brought up some bad memories, that's all..."
"Oh? Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to..."
"It's fine."
"What were they about? I-If I'm allowed to ask..."
"......"
"... I understand. You don't ha-"
"About my..."
"..... about your...?"
"A-About my brother...."
She gasped, "You have a brother?? I've always wanted a brother! Can I meet him??"
"......." I just stared at her.
"Oh, right, sad moment, sorry..." She cleared her throat, "What about your brother?"
"I had a brother.... he's... gone now...."
"Where'd he go?"
I looked up at her with a look that I'm sure told her what I meant. "O-Oh...." "Yeah..." I sighed and leaned back, "I've never told anyone before..." "That'd explain why I didn't know then. I know everything that happens in school.." I nodded. "..... How'd he...?" "..... he died at our house.... he... I think he was waiting for mom to come back for him...." "Your mom left him?" "Y-You could say that...." "What do yo-... oh.... geez... what about your dad?" "He died about a year after I was born." "O-Oh.... geez, that must be been hard on you..." I nodded again, "Yeah..." She cleared her throat and got up. "W-Would you mind telling me more about your brother?" "Why do you want to know??" "Well.. sometimes telling other people will help you not be so upset about it. And... well, you know how I talk about ghosts and stuff, right? Well, what if your brother is a ghost? Some ghosts are visible, so you might be able to see him..." I looked down at the ground. "You don't have to if you don't want to, Jimmy." I looked back at her, "What do you want to know?"
