--- Gregory's POV ---So... my brother and I are in the same body now? That's cool. Heh, I guess I'll never be able to loose him this way! And the way he's talking... I guess I'm in his head. Oh well... hey! That means I'm older now! I'm... uh... six... sev.. "EIGHT!! I'm eight!!" I laughed and felt Jimmy jump. "Oh.. sowwy... heh..." "It's fine.."
'You can see what I'm doing, can't you?'
"Uh-huh. Don't do anyfing wrong! I'm watching you bwofer!" I laughed, obviously joking. Jimmy would never do anything wrong! Though... I wonder if he ever fixed his anger problems.. hmmm.. maybe I can cheer him up?? I am in his head. Maybe there's a way to control how he feels..? Hm... lets imagine him doing something... how about... smiling! He has a mean look on his face right now. Alright, let's try.. I closed my eyes and imagined him smiling. The way he did when we played together.
'What're you doing?'
"Huh?" I opened my eyes and looked up. We were looking at a mirror. Aww... he's not smiling...
'You're being quiet.. why? And stop with the ghost stuff, will ya?'
Someone's not in a good mood... "Ghost stuff?"
'Mhm. Toast mentioned that when ghosts possess people, they can manipulate them somehow.. I shouldn't feel happy. So obviously you're doing someth-'
"IT WORKED!!"
"GAH!!" He hunched over and grabbed his head. 'S-Stop that! Do you have any idea how much that hurts!?'
"S-Sowwy..."
'And will you stop speaking like a child?? You're si- er.. eight now, I guess. Speak properly.'
"How?"
'Just stop saying stuff like 'sowwy' and junk like that. Speak like everyone else.'
"Uh, okwa-.. ok.. ay... I'll try."
'Thank you...'--- Jimmy's POV ---
Right... now that that's our of the way, let's move to the next problem. Why the heck are my eyes red!? They were brown before! Is it because I'm sick? No. I'm not sick! And besides, that makes your eyes pink! Right..? Er, that doesn't matter anyway. I'm going to get some weird looks because my eyes... as if everyone didn't hate me enough already...
Just then I heard the bell ring. Shoot! I gotta get to class! I reached down to grab my book bag and froze. I don't have any books... I don't. Have any. BOOKS!! Dangit!! Ohh, I'm going to be in so much trouble! I shook my head and ran out of the bathroom and down the hall towards my classroom. I skidded to a halt and peeked around the corner. Phew. 'Role call' just started. I snuck in the back and took a seat. Once I sat down, I pulled up my hood. If the kids can't see my eyes, they can't make fun of me.
It took a while, but the teacher finally reached my name. He stopped before saying it though. "I'm not sure how many of you know this, but Jimmy has gone missing. No one knows where he is, so we need you all to keep an eye out for him, alright? Be sure to tell an adult if you see him... anyway, Joan...?" Missing? Why'd he say that?? I'm right here! "E-Excuse me..." He shushed me, "One moment. Noah?" "B-But Sir..!" He sighed and looked up, and round the room, looking for the person who talked. "I said one moment. Can't you wait until role call is finished?" He hadn't found the one who'd spoken yet. As strict as this teacher is, no one dared to look back at me. "Y-Yes, but... I-I'm not..." gosh, how do I say this? Yeah, mister, I'm not missing! I just decided to go to an abandoned and haunted house without telling anyone, merged with my younger brother who just happens to be dead, and lived with some rich family for the night?? Yeah, I'm sure he'll believe that! He looked in the area where my voice came from and put down his book. "What's your name, boy? And pull your hood down. You should know that that isn't allowed." "I-It's me, sir. Jimmy Casket, sir... I'm not missing.." His eyes widened and everyone took the chance to look back at me. I shrank down in my seat and pulled my hood down more. I don't like being the center of attention...
".... take your hood off, please." I sighed and took my hood off, staring at the desk, hoping no one noticed my eyes. He sighed and smiled for a second then cleared his throat and fixed his tie. "Where have you been, Jimmy? We had the entire police force looking for you." I shrugged and looked over at the door. "Some rich kid's house... its hard to explain, sir.." Everyone was silent for at least a minute. I didn't dare look up to see what the teacher was doing. "Alright.." he finally spoke up, "Jimmy, please go to the principal's office and let them know you're alright." I nodded and quickly got up, leaving the gaze of the other students.
