--- Jimmy's POV ---
I approached the farm house slowly and cautiously, not fully trusting the ghost that led me there. I glanced at her then stepped onto the porch, the wooden boards creaking beneath my feet. Looking around, I could tell that no one comes out here, and if they do, they don't mess with this house. It's covered in dirt as if someone had taken a giant bucket and poured dirt all over the floors and roof. It kind of grossed me out to think about what may be under all this dust, so I didn't try to think. Moving forward slowly, I could hear the floors creaking beneath the dirt, and the dirt slowly sliding through the cracks. There were a few small tracks in the dirt but they were soon covered by the debris caused by my footsteps. Looking back forward, I could see an old and nasty door, barely hanging from the hinges. Our of curiosity, I twisted the door knob, "Maybe it's unlocked..!" And, well, I wasn't wrong. Technically. The door was locked. But, when I twisted he handle, the rest of the door, save the lock and handle, fell inside the house, making a loud echo throughout the house and surrounding field. I yelped in surprise then felt my mouth be covered by a pair of cold hands. Looking up I could see that it was the ghost. She wanted me silent, I assumed. I nodded and stepped inside over the door, trying not to make more noise.
I opened my mouth to comment on the mess of a house then stopped, remembering that I was supposed to be quite. I sighed, "Being quiet stinks," I mumbled, earning a glare from the ghost. I returned a nervous grin then continued on in the house. I saw nothing much besides empty rooms until the ghost floated over and pointed to a small outbuilding behind the house. I gave her a confused look and she pointed again, raising her pitch black eyebrows at me. "You want me to go out there too??" I whisper-yelled, "Why? What's the point in this!?" She rolled her eyes, as far as I could tell, and pointed to her head then to mine. ".. I don't get it." She threw her head back then shoved me towards the back door, obviously annoyed.
Chuckling, I started towards the out building. I guess it's more of a barn, really. Of course, the only time I saw a barn was on those nature shows in the hospital, so I can't really say. Moving forward, I could see an odd reflection, as if the sun was setting and shining off the glass windows. I looked back, confused. It was only 1 last time I checked, it can't be sunset already. And it's not. So, where's that light coming from? I gave out a nervous sigh and looked back and looked back at the barn, stopping to observe the weird light. Now that I think about it, the light may be coming from insi-- it moved. The light moved. Someone's in there. Shoot, what do I do??
I looked at the ghost, worried, but she only motioned for me to go in. "Are you crazy?? There could be anyone in there!!" I yelled abit louder then I should have and the light in the barn went out. I stepped away from the barn, examining it closely, seeing if I could make out a form. The ghost groaned and picked me up again. She flew me inside the barn, all the time I was resisiting. "PUT ME DOWN!!" I kicked at her, my foot just going through her, causing me to fall onto my backside. She facepalmed then disappeared. "Wh-- No, don't leave me!!" I got up to look for her then heard a few footsteps behind me. I jumped back and reached in my pocket, grumbling when I remembered that Ghost leaves my knife at home. I looked around then grabbed an axe-looking tool, holding it up, ready to swing at anything that moves. Glancing around, I was able to make out a figure in one of the platforms up high, "Wh-Who's the--" "Ghost?"
I froze. This voice is familiar. It knows who I-- Ghost is.. I lowered my weapon a bit, eased by the familiar voice, "Who's there..?"
"Ghost, it's me! Don't hurt me please, I'm already lost.."
"Hello, me, I'm Ghost. Nice to meet you."
"Yo--...." the voice sighed, "Sorry. I guess you don't really remember me.."
"Obviously not."
The voice sighed again, the person starting the climb down the ladder. As it descended, I could see something dark but shiny glinting in the afternoon light occasionally as it peeked out from the ladder. The hands the held onto the rods were pale, but not white. "I really thought you'd remember me... you did say we were friends after all."
"I have a bad memory," I shrugged, "Besides, a name would help. Of course, it'd help you more than me right now, since I'm ready to chop you up if you step any closer."
The voice stopped moving, only it's shiny shoes peeking out from the shadows. "R-Right..." it cleared it's throat, "I-It's me, Johnny. R-Remember?"
"Again, name. Helpful."
"Johnny..."
"Just tell me your name!"
"I did!"
"No, you said Johnny! That's my--!" My eyes widened with realization, I looked at the voice's presumed face, trying to see him better. He stepped into the light, revealing his black hair and blue eyes and some facial hair that I'm sure to grow jealous of later. He grinned, "You remember me now?" I only stared at him, not moving. He looked concerned then walked up to me, which h was probably a mistake.
