--- Ghost's POV ---
Toast, Kati, and I snuck past all of the teachers outside and ran to the house. Johnny was right, this place is a dump! "Are you sure it's safe to go in there?" Toast and I looked back to Katrina who was looking extra scared this time. "Kati?" I walked over to her, "Are you okay?" She nodded lightly, "Just... nervous, I guess. I've never really been in a house that's this old and dirty before." "Don't worry, Katrina," Toast joined us, "I have been in many places like this before and I'm fine. So has Ghost, though I doubt he remebers it." I shook my head, "Nah, I don't. But if you think it's safe, I'll trust you" He nodded and looked at Katrina, "We can always escort you back to school if you'd like." She shook her head, avoiding eye contact, "I'll be fine..." With that, we all went in the building.
It was like any other house. Just older and dirtier. And stinkier... geez. I covered my nose, but I was the only one to do so. I guess the others were used to the smell. We were going to check upstairs first, but the stairs were broken halfway up and there's no way we were going to try and jump that distance. We went back downstairs and looked around the main floor. Everyone was relatively calm, almost bored. There was nothing in this place.
If it stays this boring, I might be the ghost here. Cause of death: Boredom. Since there was obviously no ghost here, I decided to make things a little fun atleast. I grabbed a sheet off one of the old couches and shook most of the dust off. The others jumped and looked at me, not expecting the sudden noise. I grinned at them then threw the sheet over my head, raising my arms up. "Boo!" They snickered and picked up some of the old pillows. "You'll never catch me, I'm too powerful!!" I laughed and ran away, my vision slightly impaired by the sheet over me. They laughed and ran after me, pillows raised, ready to attack. "Yes we will! Get back here, Ghost!" Toast yelled, somehow managing to tap the back of my leg with is pillow. That little bit of a blow knocked me off my balance. I fell down and got attacked by the ghost hunters, laughing the whole time. "Okay, okay, you got me!!" They grinned and stopped, high-fiving eachother. "That'll teach you pesky ghosts to mess with us!!" Katrina said, laughing lightly. I grinned and took the sheet off and shook my head to get the dust out.
Toast sat down and sighed, "I was really hoping there'd be a ghost here..." Katrina and I nodded, "Me too." We both looked at each other and grinned, daring eachother to say it, we spoke at the same time, we're we going to do it again? I opened my mouth to speak then quickly gasped and froze. I felt something touch me, the back of my head, I felt it. I looked back only to find myself staring down the barrel of a shotgun. Toast and Katrina jumped to their feet and backed up, Toast guarding Katrina. What about me?! Who's going to gaurd me!? I looked up the barrel and saw a man scowling at me. "Think you're a ghost, eh? I can make ya one if you want."
