-- Jimmy's POV --
"Mmmmm..." I shifted in my sleep. It was bright outside, I could tell. Warm and bright. I curled up tighter on my bed trying to fall back to sleep. "H-Hey! He's started to wake up!" It was a man speaking. His voice sounded very close... I opened my eyes and the first thing I noticed was my 'bed'. The man had me cradle in his arms, I'm not sure why. I jumped back and tried to get free of his grip. For all I know, this man could be some kidnapper! "Woah, hey kid! Calm down! I won't hurt you, you're fine!" I stopped struggling and looked at him, then looking around the room, I noticed I was in an office of some sort. There was an officer on the other side of the desk. I must be at the police station or something. "Why... w-why am I here..? D-Did I do something wrong..?" I asked, looking at the officer. "Hm? Oh! No, no, you didn't do anything. Not that I know of anyway. You're just here because we don't know who you are or who you belong to." Who I belong to..? "Uh.... I'm.. I-I'm Jimmy Casket...." he typed my name into the computer and looked back at me. He had fear in his eyes. No... sorrow..? I couldn't tell... "What's wrong..?" I wanted to know why he looked like that, but at the same time I didn't want him to answer. "N-... Nothing, nothing... when was the last time you went home, son?" "Went home...? Uh..." I tried to think back but my memory was abit foggy. "Uhm... I think this morning... why..?" He looked down then cleared his throat. "N-No reason. I just needed to know how long you've been missing that's all." He looked back up with a smile. I couldn't tell if he was telling the truth or not. If he isn't then it'd be nice to know. Some facial feature to tell would be nice.
The officer called in his coworker and she took me into another room. That was abit suspicious. Possibly lying to me and then removing me from the room. That man that was holding me was still in there though. I could see him through the window on the door. I watched him closely. If he has the same expression as the officer, I'll know something's wrong. He didn't though. No, his expression was one of horror. He was terrified. Then it changed to sadness. He looked down and then looked out he window at me. I couldn't tell, but I'm sure I looked curious. And I was. I was curious and nervous about what was wrong. Why'd they ask me the last time I was home? Why did it matter? I hope I find out soon...
-- Gregory's POV --
I'm still hiding in that corner. It's been hours, I'm sure. Sitting in that same corner, rethinking what happened. I looked at every detail, trying to figure out what actually happened. Mommy wasn't dead, I know she wasn't. But... everyone said she was... no, it can't be.
And Jimmy is missing too. I swear I heard him when I woke up though. Where is he..? I hugged my dino and laid on my side. I'm never coming out of this corner. Never. Not until my mommy comes and gets me. When she gets me, I'll know it was all fake. It was a lie. I'll know it's safe to come out. Until then, nothing is safe. I'm staying here.. it's safe here..
