"You'll be fine Sweetie" her dad said, taking away her plate.
"Why did you have to get transferred to Ohio dad. I was just starting my senior year and this is what happens? It sucks" She complained.
"Just go and be nice and make friends"
"When have I been known to make friends Dad?"
"Stop being so... Angsty. Maybe you'll be more approachable."
"Great advice dad" The black haired girl sarcastically said before grabbing her bag and jacket off the chair next to her and walking out of the kitchen.
"Have a great day!" he yelled.
She grabbed her keys off the key hook and walked out to her car.
It was going to be a long day but she could handle it.
She pulled into the parking lot and quickly made her way in, wanted to avoid conversation with people. She picked up her schedule from the office and read it.
English - 1/2
Chemistry - 2/3
Math - 5/6
Lunch
Global Studies - 7/8
She sighed and made her way to her English class, trying not to get lost. Luckily, she didn't and got there on time and before anybody else.
"Hi um... I'm Nicole. Nicole Wyatt. I'm new"
"Oh... Just have a seat anywhere" The lady glanced up at her and pointed to the desks.
She chose a spot and put her ear buds in until the bell rang.
"We have a new student. Nicole back there. Would you like to say a few things about yourself?" She asked.
She shook her head. She didn't really want to talk to anybody. Especially students. She didn't really talk at all at school. She was shy.
The class dragged on even though she usually enjoyed it back in Chicago.
Then chemistry.
She walked into the classroom. It was basically a big lab. There weren't desks but stations instead. It fit two people.
She asked where to sit and her teacher directed her the station in the back corner. He also said she had a lab partner.
She sat down and set her book bag on the floor and sat silently.
Then someone sat down next to her.
A boy with pink hair. He kept rhythmically tapping on the table. He looked at her for a few seconds before saying,
"Are you new?"
She glanced over at him and rolled her eyes. It's not that she didn't like him. He was just the first person who tried to talk to her. Whenever somebody did that at her last school, it was usually a joke or somebody trying to make fun of her.
"What's your name?"
After the bell rang, the same thing happened as last class.
"We have a new student. You wanna stand up and say a few things about yourself?" He asked.
She shook her head.
