It's been two weeks since I last updated and I'm sorry. I've been really busy with this story on pr0venance and I have to study a lot to get into my shop at school so you have every right to be upset at me for not updating. I'm also updating babysitter soon so just expect that.
Nicole 💕: only two days left
Nicole 💕: I really miss you
Nicole 💕: I hope you're okay.
"I got some bad news," Mr. Wyatt said, sitting on his bed in the hotel. They had to stay at a hotel because all of the other family homes were full because of other relatives visiting for the holidays.
"What?," Nicole looked up from her phone, giving her dad her undivided attention.
"Sterling can't make it," he said with a sigh.
"Wait, you're saying that's bad news?" Nicole expressed obvious hatred for her sister.
"I don't know how you can hate her so much but she's your sister and I expect you to treat her like that,"
Nicole rolled her eyes.
"Yeah no, she's not really a sister so like..."
"So like" the father mocked his daughter. Nicole gave her father a disapproving look.
"And we are going home today,"
"Wait really?" Nicole practically yelled. That's all she wanted to do this whole trip.
"Yeah. The last two days were supposed to be spent with your sister but she called and said she couldn't make it so,"
"Good because I wouldn't be able to handle two days with that-" he cut his daughter off.
"Don't even say it. Just get your stuff together so we can get home before dark."

"Hey wake up," Nicole heard her dad say. Her eyes fluttered open and she saw that they were parked in the driveway. "We're home"
"Finally," Nicole sighed. She grabbed her keys, phone, charger, and ear buds before stepping out and planting her feet on the ground. "I'll get my stuff in the morning" she told her dad. As much as they tried, they hadn't gotten home before dark because by now, it was almost nine at night. But Nicole couldn't care less about being home now. She just wanted to see Josh.
So that's what she did.
She practically ran to her car and pulled out as quickly as she could. Of course she informed her dad she was leaving.
Nicole knew something was up with Josh. He always answered texts, especially when there was an 'I like you' involved.
She parked in the small driveway and gripped the steering wheel for a minute. She knew he was home because his car was the only one in the driveway. It didn't seem to have moved from it's spot before she left.
Nicole finally stepped out onto the icy asphalt and closed her door. She made her way up the door, not even bothering to knock. If something was wrong, Josh most likely wouldn't have answered.
She was quiet as she walked in. She even twisted the doorknob to close it instead of slamming it. She walked with careful feet, examining the living room. It was kinda messy - blankets spread about, dirty dishes everywhere. It was as if nobody has straightened up for days. And now that Nicole thought about it, maybe nobody has.
