"Josh?" Jenna said over the phone as Josh picked up.

"Is everything okay?" Josh responded. "You sound worried."

"No," Jenna shook her head. "I'm in the car with Nic a-and she got really shook up while we were out and I don't know why, but she started throwing up a-and crying."

"Is she sick?" Josh immediately answered. "Do you want me to come get her?"

"No," Jenna pressed on the gas. "I'm taking her home to her dad. S-She won't answer. She's really unresponsive. It's like her brain kinda just gave up on communication because she isn't reacting or acknowledging anything. She just staring forward and not even moving."

"Wait," Josh sat up from is bed. "She's not talking again?"

"Yeah, but something else is wrong." Jenna looked over at Nicole with worried eyes.

"Put her on the phone." Josh demanded.

"She's not gonna say anything. She wouldn't even hold it." Jenna replied.

"Just do it!" Josh raised his voice.

Jenna shook her head. "I gotta go."

"Wait Je-" She hung up the phone before Josh finished.

She pulled into Nicole's drive way and got out. She ran to the front door and knocked frantically. "Mr. Wyatt!" She yelled.

After getting no response, she yelled again. "Mr. Wyatt!"

Then the door swung open, revealing an agitated father. "What?"

"Something's wrong with Nicole."

"BP is 86 over 52 and dropping, pulse 52, respirations 9, and temp of 97.6." Mr. Wyatt listened to a paramedic as he clung to the side of the gurney. Nicole was being rushed down to the emergency room.

"What does that mean?" He asked. "Is she gonna be okay?"

"Patient is unresponsive," One of them said as he shined a flashlight in her eyes. "Pupils dilated, but no sign of physical trauma."

"Sir," one of the paramedics let go of the gurney while the rest escorted her through a set of doors. "You need to wait here. There's gonna be a social worker here for you. In the meantime, you need to fill out paper work. That's the best thing you can do for your daughter at this moment."

So, Ben did what he had to without throwing hands. He must've sat in the waiting room for an hour before a supervisor approached him.

"Ben Wyatt?" The lady said. "I'm your social worker for tonight. Now, your daughter is still being evaluated, but the doctor sent me in here to ask you a few questions. Is that okay?"

Mr. Wyatt nodded.

"She's very unresponsive, but she is awake. They wanted me to ask, does she normally talk? Or is she quiet?"

"No. She usually keeps quiet. Since the day she was born." He answered.

"Okay," she scribbled something down with her pen. "Does she have any conditions that would cause something like this?"

"She's on some medicine for depression." He responded.

"Mhm," she nodded. "Do you know what happened?"

He shook his head. "No. I wasn't with her. It was her friend. She's not even sure on what happened."

"Does Nicole have any friends who might know what happened? A girlfriend or boyfriend?"
